No they didn’t. Look at per game numbers.

UT and UGA are programs on two different trajectories. UT is trending up, UGA is trending down.
I hope you guys have enjoyed it. It'll be 40 years before you win another one.

Hilarious that you had the audacity to accuse others of being simple minded when you think per games stats is the way to go.

This sounds VERY familiar to another vol alt here. Same guy has been predicting this kind of stuff for 25 years now

Because looking at 15 games vs 13 gives a fair evaluation? UGA had a significant advantage in defensive front seven depth that year and it carried y’all to a title. Congrats. Don’t pretend it was something it wasn’t.

No, it isn’t, and that brings me to my point: Seems you DO recognize some of the flaws of simple stat analysis.
Now we need you to maintain consistency and apply this same logic to a single game.
Surely you think looking at 75 plays vs 50 plays is even more unfair.

Once again, you are accusing others of what YOU are most guilty of:
You are pretending the team was one dimensional, but the stats prove it was a well rounded team.
Anways, let's get your idea of when a QB has a game in his hands.

UGA is trending down. We came off back to back NC seasons and finished 3rd in one poll and 4th in another. We had 0 losses 2 years ago and 1 loss last season. That is in fact a downward trajectory.
But Tennessee is trending downward to larger degree. In 2022 they finished 11-2 and 6th in the nation. Last year they were 9-4 and 17th in the nation. Both in the number of places in the rankings and in terms of losses, Tennessee had more of a decline than UGA did.
So technically both have a downward trajectory. But Tennessee's is much steeper. Not to mention that's UGA's low point in their current trajectory is higher than the high point that Tennessee's downward trend began with.

If the system is set up to run 100 plays then a true comparison would include that aspect. If it’s set to run 100 plays but has a bunch of 3 and outs that would be reflected

To add on, he is a Ty Simpson because he played in a lower level class. Curtis doing the same thing; had the opportunity to go up to the highest level in his division
