My in-laws are from Knoxville and are UT grads. 2 of my groomsmen are Vols 4 Lyfe. I feel like I've ruined football for everyone.

I'll carry this guilt with me forever. Have a nice Thursday though.

I had a friend who got married on the day of a UT/UF game. He had big screens set up throughout the reception hall. Everybody got drunk watching Alex Brown repeatedly sack Tee Martin. Of course...it was an away game that year, so I would have been watching on TV somewhere regardless. Still, it was all good.

Goddamn schedule wasn't out when we picked the date!

To be fair, LSU vs AU is the same night so my LA family will also be shite outta luck.

Unfortunately our reception location doesn't have a TV. (rooftop bar on Broadway)

if it's a night game, I'd think there will be time to run downstairs to a bar and catch the second half.

Either way, I feel like a fricker.

Ummmm...there won't be anybody at your reception or your wedding bro.

I have no idea why people get married in the fall in the south. Even on bye weeks, people that have to go to fall weddings are all huddled around the bar tv with the game on.

Let's see 50% chance this marriage lasts or watching a VOLS victory vs. Florida for the first time in 12 years. Easy choice for most VFLs.

Well if we win, you're going to have to get married every year.

Mother frickers will be glued to game cast. It will look like a bunch of teenagers glued to their phones.

I'm just playing brotha (some what) Congrats on the marriage -- A rooftop on Broadway is a hell of a way to kick things off.

Hopefully both your LSU and UT buddies end the night on a high note

How did you allow your wedding to be on a September/October/November day in the south.

You have 3 weeks to elope.

I'm fine with that and obviously understand

The wife likely will be less understanding but that's the nature of these things

A fall wedding is what she wanted so a fall wedding is what she gets

I've already told my UT buddies that of the vols win they can count my wedding as the curse breaker

Just really need them to win so it's not the opposite

Considering my reception is full bar and on a rooftop on Broadway, I have a feeling people will at least stay for a drink or 2

I've seen this a few times. Went to several weddings where the bride and groom are non UT or whatever fans and they decide to have a fall wedding.

At the reception, the bride is wondering where everybody is and why nobody is dancing. All of the bros are at the bar or left early to go watch the SEC night game.
