Can you DAWGS quit trying to pretend like Bobo is some great up and comer?

He's coming into his own at CSU. He may not be there yet. And I don't think he's the right many for UT.

I was arguing that he's a great offensive coordinator and an offensive coach.

quote:

His 'ties' to Georgia must not be that strong since he was on Georgia's staff in the same period that the state of Georgia was being raided by every major program in the nation. With the upswing in talent in Tennessee, having ties to Georgia (however strong they are) isn't that big of a factor, if a factor at all.

He can recruit them all. He was pretty damn solid at it while at UGA so it's disingenuous to act like he wasn't or that he was responsible for letting all those players slip by.

Tennessee football is at a crucial juncture. Another dogshit mid major hire would basically eliminate an entire generation of VOLS who have only grown up w/ the abortion of a program that is VOLS 2007- now.

Agreed. UT needs to land a Stoops, Gruden, Kelly or someone of that magnitude to get back to that level. I don't think Bobo is ready for that and it would be a bad hire to have him learn more on the job.

Chaney broke SEC records for offense while at UT. Never knew that.

Debord broke more with far less talent.

The ones for number of players who quit/kicked off the team/left bc they'd literally work a Baskin Robbins than play in this offense

He's took over a 10 win program and went 7-6 in back to back years. He's a cuck.

You know nothing. CSU only won 10 games because they had Dee Hart follow JM from bama and a senior 4000 yard passer on roster before JM got there. How can a QB throw for 4000 yards at CSU of all places under JM, but he can't even field a JV level QB at Florida? Because that QB was just damn good and hadn't had JM taint him yet like he has all the QBs he's had at UF. Aside from his final year there he lost an average of 7 games a season there (worse than bobo...). His first 2 seasons he went 4-8 and 8-6.

Once the transfer hart and the senior stud QB and their best WR (left early for NFL) were gone bobo was essentially working from scratch. Coincidentally they are currently 1st in the MW hmmm

JM went 21-16 (14-10) in his 3 years at CSU. Highest finish was T-2nd in the division. Bobo through 2.5 seasons at CSU is 20-14 (14-6) and has a similar high mark in the league. So everyone thinking JM was some sort of golden god guru at CSU is simply ignorant.

But back to the topic, I don't think bobo is a good fit for UT. I think it's a bit too big of a job for him at THIS point in his career. However, the guy is an offensive guru and would without a shadow of a doubt be a better coach for UT than dooley or butch were, although those bars are set pretty low.

Most offense. He was the most underrated OC we've ever had while Chaney/Bray (and grant tons was on TB and Dooey) was the most overrated.

Which offensive records did the team break?

And how could Chaney be overrated when you guys hate him and think he was terrible?

I don't think anyone overrated Chaney but maybe he's trying to say the level of talent on the field was more responsible for the great numbers his offenses put up than he was himself

Bobo was recruiter of the year. He can do damage in Georgia (the only one better in S GA would be Kirby Smart).

Bobo is also an offensive genius. He had a crap offensive line many times, but he found ways to be productive.
check out #20 in the country in qb efficiency. and that is after playing @ Bama.

I doubt Bobo's ready for a UT job. If he had a top flight staff coming with him, I would give him a sit down interview though. Recruiting solves a lot of woes. And having an offense that can run and pass with the best of them helps the defense. The key would be if he has a home run defensive coordinator to tag along.

I guess Ed Orgeron is an offensive genius too, because Danny Etling is #17.

Nobody wants that chemo retard here.

No wonder these Georgia dullards cream their pants over this dip shite. Aside from his CSU stint, he's spent 1 year away from the buttfricking cesspool that is Athens.

Is Bobo the one that called a 3 yard quick out 8 yards away in the SEC cg?
