we shouldn't even show up to the bowl

This writer sucks really bad

outdated stats

thinks that northwestern has a better run game

I hope the Northwestern Staff has the mindset of this article

Because i see this being an Iowa style thrashing

Northwestern Article

EDIT: he also is stupid and uninformed enough to call the BG win better than the Georgia win and thinks the Georgia win was,
quote:

Georgia is now sans coach. They are not impressive wins.

UGa was a nice comeback, but it wasn't a good win. They weren't a good team this year. Definitely not a typical Georgia team.

Northwestern's win over Stanford is way better than any of our wins. Granted, that was at the beginning of the season. I still think we arse frick them Iowa style.

Such a boring team, would be shocked if they brought over 5k to the bowl game, will be just like last year where the stadium is coated in orange. Would have killed to play a blue blood like Michigan instead of the B1G's answer to Vandy.

Their fans are really starting to get to me. On par with Vandy/Iowa fans last year.

They're in for a rude awakening. Think it's hilarious they don't think losing by 30 to Iowa and our destruction of Iowa don't mean anything.

They average 150 yards passing against pretty shite defenses. Just put 8 in the box and dare them to throw it. Their defense isn't that great either. Who have they stopped besides Stanford who was terrible at the beginning of the year? Pretty much no one.

Yes...and Northwestern's losses to Michigan and Iowa (by 38 and 30 points) are worse than any of our losses (well...maybe our loss to Arkansas by 4 would be equivalent to a 30 point loss to a ranked team...but probably not).

The 4 point loss to Arkansas was bad, but giving up the 14 point lead because they sat on it hurt even worse.

But I agree. Losing by a combined 68 points in back to back is hilariously bad (Iowa was at home too).

They didn't even mention Kamara in the conversation and gave NW the running backs edge? We played the #2,6,8,9,30, and 31st ranked defenses in the country this year. Iowa also had a good defense going into last year's bowl game and fell to #22 after we thrashed them. I'll take our 2600 yards rushing this year and put it up against anyone. He also left out how Bowling Green demolished two Big Ten teams.

They played very similar D strength schedule. Looks like Jackson shite the bed in every game against a top rush defense save Wisconsin. Their QB picked up the slack in the Nebraska game rushing for 126 (117 of it came on 2 runs). But they got 38 team rush yards against Michigan and 51 rush yds against Iowa.

Our rush game was definitely more consistent and better balanced.

A comparison of feature backs and the defenses faced.

That's the most laughable portion of this furtada cµnt bag's write up. He thinks Northwestern's D is elite. Elite D's don't give up 40 points. Or 30+ points 3 times. They played one team in the top 40 scoring (Stanford).

We only gave up 30 points in regulation 1 time this year, in our first game, against one of the best offenses in CFB.

Yep. They ended the season #5 scoring offense. OU ended at #3. We played 4 offenses ranked in the top 40 compared to their one.

Are you saying their QB can run?

That was 1/3 of his season's rushing yards in one game. He only had one other game over 50 yards.

^^This. I was worried about that game all offseason because it was such a lousy matchup for us. I also think coming off an emotional loss to UF contributed. That game had an odd feel to it from start to finish - things just felt off.

Furthermore, that QB can't really pass at all either, check out this NW v. Duke recap

LINK

it appears that he will probably need to rely on his running game (which doesn't appear to be too strong either)

I think our defense unleashes the pass rush in this game and our edge rushing prowess crushes the offense and with it NW as well.
