I said with exception of saban, harbaugh, or meyer walking through the door. And even still with haebaugh, michigan hasnt won shite. Not even their weak conference
Hell we have that now with butch and you are not happy
Miami, not won shite since 2001. Their current coach won 9 games last yr, same as butch, yet you think that is an accomplishment.
Nd hadn won a national title since before tn, constantly overrated, and lose games they are not supposed to (hell we do that noe) yes nd had a nat champ appearance, because they are not in a conference and get media bias... how did that go? If you are satisfied losing a national title why not be satisfied not making it.

True...8-9 is better than 5-6. On the converse, it is worse than 10-11. Math isn't that hard.
I will work on lowering my expectations...I'll start with any post I see from you. I'll just expect them to suck and that way I won't be disappointed.

Harbaugh is in year 3 with a team consistently ranked top 15-20. And was a lousy spot on 4th down from beating Ohio State and likely winning the Big Ten. He also has 2 wins over Florida, 1 more than our current coach, who has had 5 shots at them and should be minimum 3-2 against them.

Richt won 9 in his FIRST season, taking over a team whose cupboard was almost as bare as ours when Dooley was fired. Butch only managed 5 his first year.

We've had 4 top 10 recruiting classes in his 5 years. We haven't come close to sniffing the top 10 at the end of any season. We haven't won the division in 10 years..and the east has been the weakest power 5 division since the last expansion.
You just said yourself we are a mediocre program and you're happy with that. Again, Vandy has room for a "satisfied with mediocrity" fan like you.

I wouldn't call being ranked top 15 consistently as being mediocre. Besides, that is the floor for expectations for Harbaugh now. His teams will be competing for and winning Big 10 titles for years..and he may win one this year. Butch would give his left nut to be ranked that high end of year, because his coaching ability won't get him there.

You are seriously comparing last season for us to Notre Dame's unbeaten regular season? (prior to losing to Bama)
Using that logic, you are saying a 12-1 season with a loss in the national championship game is no better than an 0-12 season.
The bottom line is this, troll. Come 7 pm Saturday evening, Butch will be effectively 3 games behind Georgia and probably Florida in the east. We haven't even turned the calendar to October and the season will already be shot. We will likely be eliminated from the division title by the time we play Alabama, or will be after we get smoked by Bama. If you are truly happy with those type of things happening, more power to you. Enjoy the Birmingham Bowl.

Been busy all day yest to be on a mesg board. Up for deee huhting today...relax, we have only 2 loss and just lost to georgias best team in years. Lost to a top 10 and top 25 team. We can still win 8-9 games and have a great rebuilding season. But omg we lost a game, I say we fire butch!!
Seems to be working out well for the lsu tigers. #grassisalwaysgreened

Butch is gone. It's not a knee-jerk reaction either. He dug his grave when he promoted Scott to OC. It was a risky move that could've worked out but it's failed miserably. Clawfense 2.0.

Both but I'll tell you I've been a reporter before and the worst thing you can do is attack the media. Reporters will circle the wagons and every damn one of them will go after you. It doesn't matter if you're wrong or right or who you attack. It's just the way the media works.

It really dont matter to me one way or the other. I had 2 main points with this thread
1- wanting to lose is the most stupid thing for a (fan) to say.
2- dont fire a coach unless you have a sure thing ready. Grass is not always greener (see lsu) and it is not like our administration has made great coaching decisions in recent years

Step off the ledge...obviously, you are overreacting. The last time UT was shutout it was a 31-0 loss to Florida in Neyland Stadium. That was followed up by a close loss to Mississippi State...then Peyton Manning got his first start and UT's decade of dominance truly began.
All Butch has to do is find a Hall of Fame quarterback on this roster in the next week or so, and things will be fine.
