He couldn’t even talk over dipshits in the audience. Should have just walked away

Sark just schooled Elko and Klien. You have an injured qb and they decided to air it out when ownes and smith were getting 5 yac or so. Sark schemed up the passing defense nice and elko and klien were too stuburn to adjust

I’ve said over and over again. Elko and Venables are terrible matchups against Sarks Outside Zone/ West Coast Offense. You absolutely cannot stunt that defensive line vs outside zone. You will get gashed. Yet they cannot adjust because it’s in their schematic dna. Howell is 6’1 245 if we’re being generous, you can’t count on him holding up an edge. Most predictable outcome ever.

Klein should have just gone to the running game. EJ Smith is the tough runner that didn’t get carries. A&M deserved to lose for stupid play calling.

I’ve gotta eat crow here…you called it multiple times and I didn’t believe you.

As long as Sark is at Texas. OU & A&M will struggle vs the Longhorns.

Very high quality choke
Not sure it was a choke
aTm has played 2 teams with a pulse this year. Barely beat 1 and lost to the other.
Just be thankful you got an easy SEC schedule this year. No Bama, No Georgia, no Ole Miss, no Tennessee and got to face a terrible LSU team.

I have to give credit. Texas had its back against the wall for playoff consideration and they stepped up and played their asses off (Texas defense and OL brought that "F you, we're tougher than you are" energy every play).
It's a funny example, but on a punt return play, Concepcion broke a long run and juked a longhorn out of his shoes. However, as that guy fell over, he managed to grab a handful of Concepcion's jersey and refused to let go, which let somebody else come in and finish the tackle. So Here's this guy sprawled on the turf with one arm above his head and he's still refusing to let go of the jersey of a guy sprinting for everything he's worth 3 yards up the field. That effort may have saved a touchdown. It looked funny on TV because the jersey stretched so much, but goddamn, that was some serious grit.
Buuuut you frickers still get to sit at home and watch us in the playoffs because you didn't play like that all year and lost to an awful Florida team and went to OT against Kentucky and Mississippi State.

It was a great game by PK.
A bad game by Klein.

PK has suffocated Klein historically. Run a two high shell, light boxes, and take away the tunnel screen. A&M is at a disadvantage on both sides of the ball schematically against the current Texas staff.

Klein has a lot of issues. Doesn’t matter since he will be picked up by some desperate team on the carousel

I can’t argue with that from what I saw. Klein played into the defense hands.
But if we can get Moss back that should help.
And A&M needs to stick with the run if we’re getting 5 yards per carry.

Sark and staff own Elko and staff. No two ways around it

Not sure why Klein didn’t just rotate backs and grind them down. He just gets too caught up in trying to look smart

I mean, it’s not a bad approach. OU & A&M have had a lot of success with the Hyper Aggressive D/ Power Spread O Combo. You can rack up a bunch of gaudy TFL, Sack, and Rushing Numbers. You’ll always be unsound against a pro style rushing attack. You’ll always be shut down by any team with LBs athletic enough to defend in space.

PK has Kleins number. He used to shut down Leach’s air raid when he was at UW.

Klein needs to learn and mature as an OC. Make adjustments. He’s not an old dog.

Texas was 4/13 on third downs.
So the bigger difference was the 2 turnovers Texas forced.
