It probably also doesn’t help that half of our defense is out.
No excuse for this offense to not be getting more through the air with Vandy’s secondary. That’s the most egregious issue.

All the credit in the world to Clark Lea. He's not a genius - but he'll do the obvious. And that puts him a cut above 90% of coaches. Because he's not scared to be wrong.
Against Mark Stoops ? You do just what Vandy is doing. You don't stack ten in the box. But you damn sure play tight and tell everyone on the field to shade to the line. Don't bother with a read. Send your line. Keep your LBs tight.
What's Kentucky going to do ? Throw to the TE ? Nope.
