The question is whether the SEC will get five or will both the Big Ten and SEC get four each. Penn State losing helps. Oregon losing to Oklahoma State a few weeks back helps.

Four spots will be taken up by Miami, the Big 12, the G5 and Notre Dame.

It wouldn’t surprise me if there are 3 SEC teams at 10-2 or better after the regular season and another 2 to 3 teams at 9-3.

What happens when the committee looks at them against the 10-2 teams from the Big 10, Big 12 or ACC that have one or two quality wins?

We’ll find out. If the records are all that matter, why play a 9 game SEC schedule and why schedule premier non-conference opponents? I love those games, but they’re gone if we live in a world of 10-2 or bust.
