That isn't a hold you moron. If you watch the video he hasn't grabbed him, his arm is just across him while the defender fights upward. That isn't illegal.
What is illegal is a headshot on a defenseless receiver. Was that called?

It's not a hold to block a guy in the side. The offensive lineman drives into the defender the entire time and doesn't get behind him.
The fact he didn't hold is why the defender was allowed to get so deep. What he wasn't allowed to do was get further inside due to the lineman doing and excellent job of blocking despite losing the first step.
That was textbook pass protection blocking considering the situation.

Other posters correct in this example about it not being a hold. See rule 9.3.3 in ncaa rule book on blocking if you’d like. It looks like holding but it’s legal. Definitely rip move

Missed face mask that would have negated a big loss
Letting 4 seconds run off the clock at the end of the first half

Holds are missed all the time but how can any true football fan say those four things weren’t flat out missed? I understand if you’re glad they were missed but if you sit here and say those things didn’t matter and try to compare it to a missed hold from a still frame you’re not being real. You’re just wanting to troll.

Herbstrieit rewound the replay 4 times, and it showed #44 being held 4 times.

This is not a hold per what I see every week.
And I will show you. Alabama has this done to them nearly every play.
I’m not complaining. I will make the thread and show you the clips of it.
I kind of think you’re being a dick not vetting how that “hold” is called.

You ignoring the points says it all. Like I said, nothing wrong with being happy you were able to benefit from them. That doesn’t make UGA a less of a football team.
