Football rules state you have to control the ball through the entire catch and that includes the receiver hitting the ground. He hit the ground. The ball hit the ground. He double clutched it. Sorry you don’t know ball.

The ball was securely locked in between his chest and forearms, never moved, including when he hit the ground. The ball can hit the ground and still be in possession by the receiver.
