From a fundamental football perspective, there's really no contest -- Bama is abso-fricking-lutely stacked in the slightly less-glamorous but essential positions, and the next in line isn't even all that close. From the perspective of generating excitement for the future, especially in terms of offense, both TAMU and LSU have excellent arguments. I'm personally not yet sold on Coker or Scarborough (he's an excellent athlete from what I've seen, I'm just not clear on whether he'll find a niche where he can dominate) so Bama's more "exciting" offensive prospects don't feel as desirable as those of LSU and TAMU. That said, I'd take Bama's class all day long and twice on days ending in 'y'.

Bo will be an all-sec running back if he can get/stay in school. He's the second best back in the class and does some things better than even Fournette. The kid is huge with great straight line speed.

If you look at the skills ratings on 247, where they give a kid a 1-10 grade on different skills, you want find one with a higher total than Bo Scarbrough, he is a freak.

This. Alabama's class is one of the greatest of all time based on high school talent alone.

When I saw the title of this thread I knew without looking that it was going to be posted by an LSU fan and was going to compare LSU's class to Alabama's. It also was obviously going to say that LSU's was better. Virtually no non-LSU fan would say LSU's class is more talented.

Great class. Seriously. But the answer is Alabama, and, frankly, it's really not even that close.

A&M hit on essentially every need except for the safety position. Unlike last year, we might be able to have a pass rush, and a rotation on the DL. Slowly building depth on defense.

Also have two very highly rated JUCO OT, Kyle Allen, and Speedy Noil available for Spring ball to help alleviate offensive losses. Just an excellent class for our needs. Except at safety.

Bama's class is ridiculous, but I wouldn't waste your time arguing with bucc. Seriously, save your breath.
He's the biggest homer on this entire site.

This Bama class will win more games than the others. They will win more titles than the others. They will beat the others head to head every year they are there. So I'll take LSU.

Cant go wrong with either 3. All 3 teams dominated recruiting this year.

But Bamas is the best class.

And this thread is dumb... what class would a fan personally prefer.... of course LSU fans would personally prefer LSUs class, Bama fans with Bamas class, etc.

Bamas is the best class. Period.

To be fair, as exceptional as Alabama's class is, it does not fit the needs of LSU as well as the LSU class does, IMO.

Like someone already said, if I'm starting a team from scratch, Bama is a no brainer. I'd love to have some of the players in that class, but as a whole, they do not fill the needs for LSU as well as the current class does. Even then, it is still close because that class is absolutely sick.

Regardless of needs, class vs class, Bamas is better.

And where does the Bama class not fit the needs for LSU?

Bama's is better. If we would've gotten one more of the gazillion five stars that got away, it would be harder to answer.

We recruited excellent at all positions.

But, watch out, adoree hasn't sent in his loi. Hehehehe

I'll take our rb's, wr's, safety's, and QB over Alabamas.
