It's a worthy thread. I was disappointed we didn't nab a recruit after doing so three cycles in a row.
Taj Griffin is a stud but 2015 and not 2016. Hell, some of the mid tier recruits in GA are good. I expect good contribution from Gus Cumberlander as well.

Most of the mid tier recruits in Georgia would be some of the top players in a ton of states around the country. The depth of talented guys in that state is unreal given its population.

Same for Louisiana.

LA's built in advantage on the trail is truly incredible. Tennessee is on the come up in terms of talented plyers starting to come through (The midstate) our high schools, but even then we are probably putting out half or less than half of the upper echelon players that they do. I know demographics play a huge part, but that's still crazy

Oregon could sign like 6 players this cycle and it's a record.
I should say there are 6 worth grabbing. 3 probably go elsewhere.

I'm some what surprised to hear you guys will have so many competing for depth in your 2 deep. You guys have recruited well enough over the last several years that I figured all but the exceptional guys would be catching a red shirt. Any freshman standing out amongst those mentioned?
“I’m sitting there going, ‘wow,’ on every two-deep there’s a guy who just get here and he surpassing guys who are sophomores and juniors quickly. I have been pleased with this group. I always argued that they’re not as good as people rank them and they give them all these accolades, but this group has come in and competed and they’re going to provide depth for us right away.”
Maybe this class is really good, or maybe the previous classes werent "well enough".

Kentucky nabbed a SDE out of Mableton in 2016:
LINK
He's not going to be a starter this year, but he looked like a GAM when he showed up for camp. With the loss of Regie Meant, he's got a good shot at playing at DE or possibly DT this season.
Not bad for a low 3* guy with mid-major offers.

Out of Pebblebrook? He's gonna be a great athlete but hasn't gotten much coaching so he'll be raw.

DT Derrick Brown will be in the rotation and TE Landon Rice may start.
