He's too short to be a wde. He should play linebacker in college. May be too slow for that too though.

4.6 is too slow for a LB?

Posted on 6/17/18 at 8:23 pm to Mud_Till_May
He'll definitely move to OLB, and 4.6 is not too slow for a linebacker

He doesnt run a 4.6 40.

How do you know? Just admit that you shouldn't have made your original comment and move on.

Pruitt is a great talent evaluator. If I were a Vol can I would feel great about defensive recruiting right now.

I don't know where he finds the time to discover all these under the radar beasts.
Honestly, the guy is all football business, all the time. He's involved in every aspect of the program, from academics to weight training to personal issues with every player on his team.
Every recruit that he's interested in sits down with him and reviews game tape and gets some honest feedback and coaching on their visit. He's a teacher, and you can tell he loves to help these kids reach their goals. Not many coaches have the balls to be honest with recruits and not just kiss their arse on a visit.
I've been really impressed so far.

It is going to be interesting to watch how the season unfolds. The schedule is brutal, especially early. I could foresee a scenario where Pruitt has the team playing significantly better than they did under butch and yet still starting out 2-6.
If he can
A. Create some onfield momentum to sell
B. Keep Fulmer from meddling
I think there is a very solid chance that Tenn emerges as the consistent second team in the east

People keep bringing this up as if Fulmer is gonna be a Barry Alvarez or Jerry Jones or something. I really don't think this will be an issue.

Fulmer won the East 5 times during his tenure, granted against a weakened Bama and a struggling Georgia program, but Florida was also a Juggernaut back then as well.
I feel like Tennessee should win the East at least once every 3-4 years and be in the top 3 of the east every year and consistently be a top 25 team. I don't expect this to happen overnight, we are going to struggle this year just to get to a bowl, but 2019 should be much better and by 2020 we should compete for a conference title.

If I were a Tennessee fan I'm sure I would feel the same way.
My (biased, I admit) reasoning for a lower ceiling for modern Tennessee football
1. Annual game with Alabama - all time dynasty
2. Georgia rising as a monster in the east. Even if Pruitt recruits lights out, kirby has a several year head start on talent
3. Clemson poaching traditional recruiting grounds. Pruitt has work to do to overcome Dabo and co. Who have made a habit of cherry picking the state of tenn.
4. Overall need to recruit more regionally/nationally vs main conference rivals who have more rich talent in their home states

BUMP
BREAKING: Tennessee adds 3-star DL @RomanHarrison10 to 2019 class. The Bainbridge (Ga.) product is another camp standout who earned an offer and spot back in June.
At 6-2, 240 pounds, Harrison ran 4.6, had a 39-inch vert and benched more than 400 pounds. Vols like him at DE.

Not sure I’d want Jeremy Pruitt involved in my academics...

He will gladly come to your front porch in the wee hours of the morning and aggressively let you know that he SHOULD be more involved in academics.

So you're just here on the recruiting board to troll then?
Ok. We used to ban people for that shite, but Lew feels compelled to protect Georgia fans, so I guess we just have to accept shitty posts from your fanbase on every board now.

You just posted a commit who is the #870 player in the country with a .8566 rating and with shite for an offer list. And you call this a troll?

Part of the ranking and offer list is that he plays DT in highschool because the team needs him there. His highschool film and numbers reflect him at DT. When playing out of position it’s hard to shine.
