All the OP is saying is that State is putting together a solid class with lots of talent still left out there that we lead for
And all we are saying is that the OP is wrong.
The only reason State is ranked that high is because they already have 8 commits. But when you only have 1 4* and 7 3*s that's really not looking that good for y'all.
Keep it up and y'all will end up with 3 4*s and 21 3*s.
AWESOME CLASS

The OP needs to check the rankings tomorrow. That #5 was before the composite was updated from the other sites. They had four 4*s on composite before scout updated their rankings. Now they have one.

Miss St. #5 in 2015 recruiting
They won't be able to finish top 5 in the SEC, and might not even finish top 5 in the SEC West...

But 6th is an improvement

Incorrect. We are at #5 after the bump down on the 3 guys. We were a comfortable #3 prior to the Scout(.8333 per 24/7) 3* default where they basically haven't even watched anyone play. And that's with McNair being laughably underrated on 24/7 at the moment.

My apologies then even though the majority of players are underrated because they haven't even been evaluated yet. The school behind you has a commit that results in 0 points and another that is .7
You dont think yall end up 6th in the west in crootin engie?

Auburn, Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M will definitely have better classes than Mississippi State, and with the way Ole Miss has been recruiting, I see no way they are even jumped. 6th in the SEC West is realistic, and maybe even 7th if Arkansas does any better this season.

There's a million things that can happen between now and NSD -- so I have no idea. Would be very "Mississippi State" of us to lock up a bunch of the guys we currently lead for and then have Tony Hughes take another job after the season and cost us to lose 4 or 5 of them. He's lead on practically all the blue-chip guys in-state.
I think the makings are currently there for us to have an elite class this year that is by far the best in MSU history. But it's a long way from NSD -- and I've learned not to get too high or low on recruiting either way.
We could realistically be pushing around 180 points in the composite by the time the camp circuit kicks up in early June -- or one additional decent pick up away from matching our total output from last year.
But if you are asking if I think we finish ahead of you this year -- yes, I do. Not because we'll actually have a better class -- but because we are expecting to take somewhere between 27-30 in this cycle with 22 graduating seniors this year and several guys that are likely to leave early --- while you are likely to have a much smaller class.

I like to look at the average...Judging strictly by the SEC West
aTm - 95.16
Bama - 93.71
Arky - 92.29
LSU 90.77
OM 86.85
MSU - 86.49
Auburn - 76.9
Your Top 5 ranking is a little misleading, but nice class.

State isn't used to this kind of recruiting success. Let them enjoy their moment guyz.

This has been an incredible athletic year for Mississippi State.
CWS runner-up
Egg Bowl win
2 victories over Ole Miss on the hardwood
Liberty Bowl champs
Top 5 recruiting class with 11 months to go
I'd say they're living the Bulldawg dream.
