The only way this is an accurate statement.
In the last decade, you've gone 4-6 against us. If I expand that to this century, it's 6-11. All time, you have a 2 game advantage. To act like you have some kind of massive elevation between your program and the rest of the SEC teams not named Alabama implies a level of relevance that you just don't have anymore. If you don't see a problem with your recruiting and coaching right now, I think the rest of us are all OK with things continuing as they are in Knoxville.

The 90's, when they recruited well in Georgia
Great rivalry between two great programs. Lots of close games. Both teams have played in 5 SEC championship games and won 2 each.

ok, back on track now. I was looking at the espn top 300 earlier. 247 is my favorite but I have also felt like in the past espn has been pretty accurate when it comes to recruiting. Anyway I wanted to look at the top 10 at each position.
UGA has
DE- #1 and #7. Only team with 2 of the top 10.
ILB- #5, #7 and #10. If they get Warner they will also have #2 and 4 of the top 10 in the country. That's just ridiculous.
OT- #2 and #7. Only team with 2 of the top 10.
Ath- #2 and #10. Only team with 2 of the top 10
CB- #7, S-#2, RB-#6 and OG-#10
and still have a shot at several other players in the top 10 of their position.

A very impressive class by any standards. If Kirby and staff are even average coaches then there's probably no reason why this class won't win an East title or two.

This is kinda funny considering that the only reason UT has even a slim 2 game lead is because the 2nd best coach in your entire history went like 8-1 against the likes of ray goff and jim donnan. Kinda evens out.

So a matchup a program makes? Is that how I'm to interpret the statement? So South Carolina and Vandy are also superior programs to you given the win this season? Are you also a better program than Florida because you won this year?
If you feel good about your program today and it's chances going into the upcoming season, then more power to you. The fact that you're capitalizing BUTCH JONES says enough to the rest of us. You would like us to discount your current coach in order to assess program relevance.

This doesn't make sense. This discounted coach has beat you 2 years in a row. He only adds to the evidence that we are a better program.

I never realized how jealous UT fans were of our football program. Look how hard they are trying to convince everyone they are a better program. The self consciousness being displayed here is hilarious.

Your better program is 5-10 vs us the last 15 years. With less SECE titles and 0 SEC titles (we have 2 in that time).
And looking at recruiting, it's pretty clear that the players coming out of HS don't think much of your "better program".

Lah de dah. I love arbitrary time frames. In the past 17 years we have 2 SEC championships and a National championship.

High school kids are known for their decision-making skills now? But don't get me wrong, congrats on the recruiting, hopefully they are everything you want them to be
