I’ve been seeing 3 top 100 comments have decommitted from UGA, what’s the reasoning behind it? Just curious, seems strange b/c they’ve been rolling the past 2 years

Since when was Perry or Bertrand a top 100 recruit? According to 24/7 Perry-165 Bertrand-312

Presuming you're serious and not trolling, I'll answer... (see above comment for correction on top 100 comment)
Haselwood - unexpected decommitment. Not out of the recruitment, but most seem to think he's been excited about the "Miami lifestyle", and not really anything that we've done/not done recruiting wise. We're throwing the ball more often, for more yards, and more effectively than Miami (at least prior to last week, didn't check after FSU game for them), so doesn't seem to be offensive scheme issues.
Bertrand/Perry - These appear to be (and were hinted at by insiders prior to the decommitments even) mutual decisions, where we let them know realistically who else we are bringing in, where they would be playtime wise, and they elected to look elsewhere. Most believe that we wouldn't have done this without already having the replacement options nailed down.
In short, other than Haselwood's spot, it would seem that UGA's class is largely already hammered down, just a matter of carrying it through to signing day(s).

2 were processed and Haselwood will be a Sooner, he wants to be a center piece of an O and that is not happening at UGA.

Or is it?

Anything beyond what I typed is pure speculation on Haselwood unless you've spoken with him. What I mentioned has been talked about by more than one source, so it's as close to "verified" as you're going to get on the JH front at present. He *may* decide to go to Oklahoma, but currently that doesn't appear to be the primary competition for us, rather Miami does.

Processes 2 lower rated 4*s for bigger prizes

I'll be shocked. It's possible, I guess, but if he wants to be the centerpiece, OU might not be the place to go. have you seen the WR class they have this year?

It looks like Miami is leading now but still believe DAWGS are in this. While the "Miami lifestyle" is appealing to young kids, I believe when he gets to the end and starts weighing pros and cons, UGA will look better and better:
UGA vs Miami:
Better Program - UGA
Better Coach - UGA (we fired Richt, replaced w/ Kirby)
Better Team - UGA
Preferred QB - Justin Fields/Jake Fromm (Haselwood closer to Fields than any other player)
Proximity to Home - UGA
Better Passing Offense - on its face you would say Miami due to Richt being former QB and offensive system,
but when you factor talent on UGA offense vs Miami, OL, QB, etc - UGA gains ground. Will be passing more as this season goes on.
If Haselwood loves the Miami lifestyle, he can always vacation there - buy a house there if he becomes a NFL star.
Who knows what Haselwood is thinking(?) but he did the right thing by de-committing if he was not 100% sure he wanted to go to UGA.
We will find out in December - he is still taking an official visit to UGA then.

If he is going to Miami, he needs to take a long hard look, they appear to be horrible.
FROMM AND Fields are in a different stratosphere than Miami QBs. When AJ Green was in Richt's offense their were times they never threw him the ball, all game. The UCF debacle comes to mind.
OU is pass happy and no one can play d out there, not to mention the family ties out there.
We would love to have him, but I am not sure expectation and reality will meet there with our depth at the position and Philosophy to spread the ball around to extreme lengths.
We also make wrs learn to block but so does the NFL.

Horrible? no. Not as good as some think, maybe, but certainly not horrible.
They have a shot at winning the ACC. Clemson is not looking as strong as many believed, and there really isn't anybody else over there that could challenge them. if they pull the upset and beat Clemson in the ACCCG, they would probably make the playoffs.

This could make the biggest difference.

Unlikely. They could potentially beat Clemson, particularly if Trevor Lawrence were to go down for the game... but I don't see a world where they get in the CFP with lackluster performances against bad teams... not to mention losing "points" if they were to play Clemson at less than full strength.

People don't comprehend just how bad FSU is and the miracle it took for Miami to back into a win.

One in a million is still a chance!
Honestly, though...Clemson hasn't looked all that great. If it is Miami/Clemson in the ACCCG and Miami gets some breaks? Weirder things have happened.

True. But I just don't see the PAC 12 getting in, and it looks like the B1G 12 is going to knock each other off. It might be the
SEC Champ
Notre Dame
Ohio State
And.....? I just don't see them letting two SEC teams get in two years in a row, especially if it is the same two teams.

Oh, I understand. But I guarantee almost every single team will have a sqeaker against a sub par team. It happens every year. If they win the ACC....I do think it is unlikely, but I thought it unlikely they would let two SEC teams in last year, and thought it unlikely they would put a non conference team in the playoffs over a conference champion, soooo...
