I would assume he’s hinting at Al Davis since he’s a former Hog but I highly doubt that would happen.

Seems a strange response since he started 47 games in four years including 10 last year and at least 12 in each of the previous 3 years.

His number were very well, and then he fell off the earth. I wondered why and read where... Well this was basically the gist of the article.

(When a Defense is so bad at stopping the run, that anyone with a rb can get 6 yards a run... there isn't a reason to rush the passer. Basically nobody is passing period. )

I wouldn't make fun of Jeffcoat My dude. I believe he will be very good for us. I guess we will find out. WPS!

He has just been continually passed on the roster by anyone we bring in. Our starting DE's both left to the NFL this offseason, and Jeffcoat was still not really even close to be in line to start.

Mizzou was ready to bring him back. Just never saw him has a difference maker this past year, and was in the mindset Arden and Johnny Walker was the future and was going to get 2 DE transfers not matter what. The interior DL is back plus Gracial, and there will be times where we have Jernigan or Realus outside.

If he was 4 best why did he start 10 games after starting 13 as a junior and making first team All Sec as a sophomore.

Missouri DE's

Mcguire-25 solo, 15 ast, 40 total, 14.0 loss, 8.5 sack, 2 FF
Coleman-23 solo, 14 ast, 34 total, 8.5 loss, 4.5 sack, 3 FF
Jeffcoat-14 solo, 7 ast, 21 total, 2.5 loss, 1.0, 0 FF

Jeffcoat was the 3rd best on the team. The Walker boys were seeing increased snaps in place of Jeffcoat.

If your argument is that a player is good because he was given a meaningless reward (see Bazelak SEC FR of the Year joke) and that he started on the worst defense Mizzou has ever had, probably says more about your team than ours at this point.

Johnny Walker was hurt and matched Jeffcoat's production in 7 games. Hopper was much more of a presence than Jeffcoat toward the end of the year.

Today is the day that I learned that 1st team All-Conference selections are a meaningless reward and even bad players can get them. Very interesting.

Honestly it was semantics that he was selected. Will Anderson, Christopher Allen, and Azeez Ojulari were all clearly better Jeffcoat, but were considered Edge/OLB in their defenses, not a DE. So they went under the LB position, which went to Bolton, Moses, and Morgan who were more tradition LBers.

The thought was that he had a breakout year to take the next step, which he never did. The potential seemed to be there.

*And brings back the Connor Bazelak SEC FR of the Year, meant absolutely nothing as being a good QB, and his stats were trash.

Not supposed to troll on the recruiting board.
Jeffcoat's production has slipped, but he is a solid, experienced DE.
My fellow Mizzou fans sound a little sour grape-y.

That kid was very good his first year, why did he regress so bad his next year?

Not I, I even stated on our board, and copied and pasted here, that I would have taken him back .

Who's trolling? Why don't you go tattle?

He is solid.

He was also solidly 5th or 6th on our depth chart going into next year.

Behind Both Walkers, Joe Moore, Austin Firestone and probably Kyran Montgomery.

PorkSammich,

So a coach from Missouri is coming to Arkansas soon?

Might it be coming from the wrong team and that would be Tennessee.

He lead a drive for a field goal against us that won the game with time running out.

He was the best qb I’ve seen on your team since drink has been there. What happened? I think that is a legitimate question. I just want to know. I felt he was going to be very good.

Leading a win vs 3 win arkansas doesnt make him good. His stats were below avg for a P5 QB. He started 2021 pretty good then fell off a cliff. Was playing through some injury as well. Transferred and was horrible for Indiana. Was 109th in qbr. Now at Bowling Green. He had his moments for 2 or 3 games every year.

Not saying much but Cook is better. And yes the thought as well from Mizzou was Baze was going to be a decent QB until he wasn't.
