Tim Keenan - 4 Star DT Announcing End of August

That's an interesting combination of schools. How is GT feeling about him? Are you confident?

Not sure. I think we feel ok. Rivals guys think it’s most likely a UGA/GT battle. They think he is lower on Bama/LSU board. May have waited too late for Bama.

Getting a quality DT at GT has been extremely difficult. So if somehow we landed him it would be certainly welcomed. We have all of our “A team” recruiters on staff for Tim. Led by Coach Collins so if we miss it won’t be for lack of effort.

I’m curious about where he might be on UGAs board? I don’t think he is a take right now at Bama/LSU. And I don’t think UAB is serious. That was his first offer so I think he is throwing them a bone.

I think they just deduced it. They are pretty certain he isn’t a take for Bama or LSU and UGA has been quiet on him so they assume UGA and GT are in the battle. UGA May well not be but it isn’t clear.

I've seen his name in the newsletter that comes out, but not mentioned a whole lot. The newsletter has been spotty lately since Covid. Not sure if you subscribe to it, or not.

Recruiting is one of those things that goes on all the time. I don't know how they do it. I mean, they touch base with every recruit several times a week (and with the very top recruits, sometimes every day) and then they do it a year or more down the road. Right now they are in contact with recruits for the 2022, and 2023 classes. It's a wonder more coaches don't get burned out.

We just got a newsletter out and Keene was mentioned in it. Apparently he is a big target for us.

There is a guy that grabs free content from several Georgia writers and puts them all into a newsletter form and e-mails it out to people who ask to be included. A lot of it is repeated stuff, obviously, but it's pretty interesting and gives a pretty good snapshot to what is going on with recruiting.

It has been a bit uneven since Covid hit, so that is why I was unaware of how hard we were pursuing Keenan. Apparently we would love to have him, though.
