He actually probably is still the richest or top 5 richest person in the southeast. He made hundreds of millions of dollars off the tobacco lawsuit settlement. I am sure he paid off several Fayette, MS jurors to get his win and even though he spent a lot if money to keep him and his son out of the federal pen.
