It is not about the talent
Wait a minute. You just told me that once KDS brings in better talent on defense then the juggernaut that is A&M football will begin its destruction of the college football world.
By your own statement then, there is absolutely nothing trending for anyone anywhere to think that the KDS scheme/defensive philosophy no matter who the athletes are will out produce the Les defense.

Again, Texas A&M has a superior offense than LSU!

As an aside? WTF? Trending? WTF? How does an offense superscede (sic) another?
Texas A&M will still have a better offense this year and next year, etc.

And LSU just sits around doing nothing. No Cam Cameron, no concentration of offensive talent. Nothing.
No one says LSU and Cam Cameron are doing nothing. They just don't play the same offense and therefore get different results.

It is only natural when the first party gets attacked that said party gets a little defensive. You will not find any condescension on my part. I have stood up for Texas A&M and refrained from calling LSU or their fans any derogatory names thrown around quite frequently on this board.
LSU since Curley Hallman has had a pretty decent run in football. You have one of the best baseball programs and have had good track results until we poached your track coach.
The fact is that emergence of Texas A&M in recruiting has hurt certain teams in the BDF...Texas, OU, OSU and at least it has made the quest for getting top Texas talent to Bama and LSU a little more competitive than is was say three years ago. Again, it may not have changed the end results much yet but there is a little more competition.

Honestly i like A&M growing up they were my favorite big 12 team and i liked them more when Sumlin got the job and would love to get an offer from them one day, but the OP is making it hard to like them though

There was a time, very recently, that a majority of the NCAA could make this claim. Reach a little higher, please.
And if that's the ultimate goal, to have a video-game offense, go for it. Try to win a few more games while doing it.

I have told you before equal talent means KDS wins. LSU has always had better talent since the Jackie Sherrill / Curley Hallman days. Now the talent is getting closer to even. We are not there on defense yet. The offensive talent level is pretty even from what I know about yoru recruits. With that being said KDS offenses out produce Cam Cameron offenses everytime with the same talent. You get good talent. We get good talent. Talent is not the issue in Texas A&M having a better offense at this point in time. It is offensive schemes and the ability to execute them.
Again, with equal talent we win. Today we don't have equal talent. 2015 or 2016 we will.

Truth. Malik Jefferson, Myles Garrett and Kendall Sheffield will make us diiiiiiirty.

No one said it is the ultimate goal. Again what I stated is that if the Texas A&M defense is able to get on par with the LSU defense then the production of our offense means that we win. Simply because we will score more points with our offense than you can score with yours.

Didn't say that...but what I will say is when KDS gets a real SEC defense on campus we will be a perennial top 5 team.

So with that thought in mind, if A&M has BETTER talent means KDS wins as well.
But that didnt happen last year when you played Missouri now did it?

So having equal talent on offense KDS wins because it is about offensive schemes and the ability to execute them but having equal talent on defense only means that talent will magically produce and has nothing to do with schemes and ability to excute them. Thanks for the heads up I will let Les know he can thank Chavis for his service and let him go. Save us a few bucks since we dont have a huge endowment etc etc etc

There is alot of what-ifs and hypothetical's in this thread so what's one more.

At least I'm trying to get this thread back to recruiting.
But we are getting his last official. Tony Brown wasn't suppose to sign with Alabama either.

To back that statement up I offer you the FACT that KDS has never fielded a top 50 defense in his 6 full years of coaching. As a matter of fact when he took over at Houston they were coming off being ranked the 49th best defense in college football. KDS then preceded to bring them to rankings of 99, 120(last in CFB that particular year), 97 and 93.
He has since brought this same TREND to A&M.

My opinion, and I don't know, this may sound completely crazy to you, but it sounds good in my head right now.
The offense stresses the defense. Sumlins system has never been implemented with 5*'s scattered throughout. Never. Check the coaching tree, but I'm pretty a sure this is true. This, the reason his defenses preform much worse than prior rankings.
It also didn't help that Mack brown, and bob stoops took every available DT in the State from A&M back in the olden days. Now, we are fighting them off.
I can go into more detail if you want, just trying to save some time.

Not sure I follow where you were going with that but the issue at hand is Kline claims that with talent being equal on offense A&M wins because of KDS's offensive scheme and when he gets the talent on defense they will easily win, not factoring in that KDS does not have a good track record of defensive scheme. Here he is just attributing the success that would come from the talent you would be accumulating.

Possibly. Nothing in recruiting is absolute and Alabama's secondary is terrible, he'd play right away.
