Well, if the bar at Applebee's counts. I swear Mrs. Reedus, that's what I was talking about.

Beckner apparently impressing. I know it's just one highlight, but saw him just through somebody to the ground like a rag doll in 1 on 1 drills. And I'd assume that OL was supposed to be decent or he wouldn't be there too.

LSU will have a ton of attrition

Even being a homer how would this happen???

DE
Hunter JR (Draft Eligible)
Maclin SR
Rasco SR
Bower SO
Neal SO
Patterson FR
Teuhuma FR
Clark FR
and for good measure
Herron FR

so.......
Next year will be the first time in a long time the exodus will stop from LSU for one year, at least in terms of guys bolting early, only because they cant

But yes hoping LSU gets him, but I actually see Spurrier, and believe he would be a great fit there.

Now you got me confused. Your post makes it look like you're quoting me as saying LSU will have a ton of attrition. I never said that. I have no idea who LSU will have returning and who they won't.

As for Spurrier, I don't think SC has ever been mentioned as in the running for Beckner. The closest I've heard SC being mentioned is him saying he wants to go to the SEC.

quote:

Assistant coach Cornell Ford is the only college recruiter Beckner says he has a relationship with.

“I don’t really talk to schools,” he said. “Sometimes they’ll hit me up on Facebook but I really don’t respond to anything."

Beckner plans to take all five of his official visits following his senior season before making a college decision on National Signing Day.

“Most likely the SEC schools,” Beckner answered when asked who he’ll visit. “Because that’s the best competition and the best conference.”

LINK

Interesting that he says the only real relationship he has with any coach is with Mizzou's Cornell Ford and then in another interview says:

quote:

When Beckner does decide, he says academics and relationship with the coaches will be his primary focuses.

LINK

Still hoping it will be Mizzou, but it definitely sounds like it will be an SEC school. My guess (purely a guess) is that LSU is in a close 2nd.

Did not mean you just hit the first reply button. Our LSUclass is a 2-3 year foundation/depth type class. Meaning nobody will be expected to step in and start or comtribute IMO. Not saying they wont just wont need them to. But everytime a big prospect mentions LSU we sometimes over react. I follow college basketball recruiting more than football so not going to pretend to be in the know.

From what I saw Beckner was the best lineman out there period. And he's mean.he looks completely mizzou bound now.

He comes from a tough part of town. The football program has always tried to take those kids off the street and give them an opportunity, but some of that toughness is simply needed to survive I would imagine. Unfortunately, the school district isn't the best around and qualifying is always a question. I have NO idea how Beckner is doing with that aspect of things. I know we had a commit in last years class that has to go JUCO and I think they sent another kid to Syracuse or somewhere that didn't qualify either.

As for Mizzou...wouldn't say he's completely Mizzou bound now. Way too early to say. I would say that Mizzou is probably in the lead...for now. Long way to go.

I don't think there's any question mizzou has a comfortable lead, but we're going to give him a lot to think about when he comes to Baton Rouge for the Alabama game. Just ask Scott van pelt how awesome bama weekend is. With that said he'll probably end up at mizzou, but we're going to make it interesting no doubt
