Visiting Bama this month. Would be tough to land the kid but it is possible with Saban. Great run stuffer but can move better than most realize.

Announcement? He was LSU's 1st commit and reaffirmed that commitment in an interview in Orlando this week.

He's been committed to LSU for nearly 2years, and has not decommitted nor will he.

He's a big recruiter for LSU and recruiting Marvin Wilson to play next to him at LSU.

He's solid to LSU.

Hardly. Was just posting what I read somewhere else. Not sure why it said delayed announcement if he already is committed. My apologies, I know nothing about the LSU recruiting class. Maybe the news of him visiting in January is wrong too.

No he's likely to visit, just his situation is similar to Leatherwood.

Do what now? Leatherwood is an early enrollee. He isn't taking any visits in January.

You've got to give it to Saban. Recruit the commits of your toughest rival. If you get them....by whatever means.....you weaken your opponent while strengthening yourself. It's the old Bear move with the only difference being with the no-limit back then, he didn't have to use them...just recruit them so they couldn't play against him.

I don't know where the OP got his information, but Shelvin hasn't been mentioned by guys on our side in a long time.

No problem.

We have like 15 kids who are enrolling early. It's hard to keep track of them.

ETA: And we just got another one.

Leatherwood was 100% locked into Bama but took all 5 of his OV's. Shelvin is doing the same thing. Committed kids do it every year, don't see why some of our fans freak out about them.

I think it may be more of a strategy to cause concern for opposing staffs and make them allocate resources on players Saban knows we will probably not get but allows us to spend more time with the ones we want while LSU and other programs have to spend time to get reassurance.

Why do LSU posters make statements like this. Will you never learn. You don't have a fence around your state anything is possible.

We do pretty well. Moses and Allen hurt this year VERY bad but LSU isn't hurting in the department of recruiting Louisiana. One of the best schools in the country at keeping the in state talent. Bama is always gonna get some guys though. Yalls dynasty is a locomotive and Saban is recruiting like something that's never been seen before.

At one point Leatherwood was flirting heavily LSU. Some thought there was a possibility of him flipping but he solidified his commitment to Bama. Started recruiting for them the whole 9.
