Well maybe not conceding lol but LC has made his choice.

Both staffs like their chances I'm sure so I guess we will find out on Thursday won't we?

I'll be frank with you, I like your chances with LC, but not Winston... The latter has too many variables swirling around... Also I haven't ever geared of alabama's baseball program ever having any tremendous success, nor Saban allowing a star player to play another sport

Looks like it

Even if he picks LSU, it's far from over. This one goes down to NSD.

I have a question though. Trea Elston... Did bama ever really recruit him hard?

Funny the reality is quite the opposite, several guys I know inside the family circle with Winston and HC etc are saying Winston to Bama is a done deal day after NSD, just FWIW, but LC situation looks great for Bama in fact I am of the school of thought that Bama leads, but it is totally different situation, LC is in La, JW is in Hueytown 30 min from Bama, just like LC is 30 min from LSU, see what I mean and his decision has nothing to do with baseball, he will cross that bridge in the Summer after the draft and Saban doesn't care about him playing bball since he would likely be a pitcher, only throwing about 20 or so games. Bama had a S Justin Woodall who turned down the NY Yankees contract as a pitcher to play fball and when he made that decision Saban told him he could pitch for the bball team as long as it doesn't interfere and JW decided not to play bball, he is now in the farm system for the A's I believe, the team could be wrong though.

If Bama DOES land LC you can thank his gf, and if he picks LSU he will likely be breaking her heart, that is why I like our chances, and you can say bro's before Ho's or whatever but from what I gather it is a pretty strong relationship b/w them, planning on getting married in a few years etc

1st where are you hearing that? Because everything I've heard and a personal opinion from meeting the young man are totally different, hearing he has made a concious effort to make the right decision 1 time and stick with it. I don't believe he even considers any other team after he picks 1 and if you are reffering to Reid and teammates still being a factor etc I don't think they have enough of a say, the only one who does is likely the GF and she is a huge Bama fan just FWIW.

Bama kind of did early until you dig deeper and see his personality issues etc, sometimes a prospect is talented enough that Saban will take that on (ie Rolando and R.I.P. AD) wasn't with him. Bama was higher on Beniquez Brown early on until things started looking up for LC and Brown told coaches he wanted to stay on offense.

But if she really loves him, she'd support and LSU decision. Otherwise itcomes across and selfish and nervous on her part, ie maybe not trusting Landon alone @ LSU

Yeah I agree with that too but they are also kids...

On another note......the TS board has gotten uncommonly quiet calm before the storm? Hhhmmmm...

No updates since the Mailbag and no updates on UA arrivals etc oh well......I know we are getting 1 commitment Thurs, but hoping for 3, although for that to happen Greene would have to switch to UGA to have room, doubt 3 though likely 2 at least 1

Same guy. Ponamsky. He's as connected as they come. He was right about Rasco last year and that documentary the Shreveport news made confirmed it all. He was all UF up until his mother was upset he would be so far away. He has maintained that LSU feels they have a bigger edge. He's been wrong before, but even this year he broke the gunner Kiel news(that lsu was interested and vice versa) in October. Long before anyone else even had an idea. I promise you Thursday will not be the end of it.

As for Elston I just read something last night that made me think he might have been bama's backup. I always thought bush was the backup plan. What you said though confirmed what I originally thought. He was never too high on the list

So Ponamsky poster I guess? says regardless of who he picks on Thursday it isn't over until NSD. Does he give a reason for why is thinks that? Just wondering b/c like I said EVERYTHING I'm hearing is totally different and I'm talking about from both schools coaches, coaches at Dutchtown, just hearing WAAAY different.

Yeah I think Deon Bush was one that Bama kind of had in the pocket for if we lost to Dixon to FSU, which looked possible for a while so Bush's recruitment picked up, what is sad about Brown is his want to stay on O, he is an awesome player on D reminds me a lot of Barron, but nevertheless.....

To me Bush is a different type player than LC, Saban and staff considers Bush to be more of a corner, but as of now Bama has backed WAAAY off Bush latest I heard, there are reasons for that as well.

The way I see it there aren't any backup plans other than maybe McCullers if we don't land EG, and that is a long shot now. We have all our chips on the table with the 5 or so guys left.

Ponamsky is the Insider for LSU's ESPN site, BBI.

He normally shoots info straight forward even if it's news we don't want to hear.

What? It has the most wins in SEC history, and its post-season history is only surpassed by LSU in the SEC.

Oh ok but why does he think LC's commitment on Thursday holds no bearing? Did he say any reason why he feels that way or what he is hearing?

Sometimes an insider has sources usually pretty reliable, but in some cases, and this is just my opinion based solely off my experience doing this for a long time, if one school is in scramble mode after pretty much knowing they lost out and a staff or ppl in the know relay stuff that a staff is HOPING is possible but might be far from the actual situation, the info he is getting might still be what they are hearing, but far from the truth, does that make sense? This happened last year with J.Clowney

It's what he's heard. He's been wrong before, but he keeps dropping hints here and there. In the past when he has done that he's been dead on. We aren't allowed to post his stuff though. I'm anxious to see his update and hope for good news.

Lots of buzz from UA Game about Geno Smith saying LC will pick Bama and Jameis Winston will flop to Bama on NSD, and FWIW he says he can't get a read on Goldman.

A tweet I found:
