Sleeper alert - Reese Young, LB , Stephenville HS

I watched the playoff game between Stephenville and Argyle which Stephenville won 21-17 and this guy was the best player in the field at any position. 6’1” and 220 pounds with great range and he arrives to the ball with force. This is a division 1 talent and a sleeper. Here are his highlights from Friday. A name to keep in mind in my opinion. Worth checking out.

He just uploaded his senior year highlight to hudl. He won Defensive MVP at the 4A state game. Doesn’t look like he has received many offers.

He was also District MVP. Kind of an odd situation.oops like he moved to Stephenville between with Sophomore and Junior year and was hurt early in his junior year and it kept him out the rest of the season.
He is definitely one of those rare finds of a guy who should be pretty highly rated but wasn’t noticed.

Tennessee desperately needs LBs, just posted his info on VN. Any info on measurables other than Ht and Wt? Did he not camp?

He’ll go to some small school like rice or UTSA and in a year or 2 transfer to a big school via portal. I can’t remember what coach said it but they were right when they said the schools that will get hurt the most by the portal were jucos. Now it’s 100% just kids who couldn’t get grades right. No more diamonds in the rough who need to get a few years of tape on them. They’ll just go get that tape at a small d1 school

Haven't looked it up but does their WR that balled out in the title game have P5 offers? Dude made some impressive catches.

He looked taller than 6'2", if he could grow 2 to 3 more inches he could be an absolute beast, ala Mike Evans.

Yeah. Rice passed not knowing he was playing the Regional Finals game with a fracture in his ankle. Rice DC was classless. Left without notifying us when we were supposed to meet with him after the game.
