K. Well, how about this one? A former player speaks to a couple of the assistants on staff regularly. Up until a month or so ago (last report), they are saying Bama is "way out in front right now". Those were his exact words. This former player is the very opposite of a sunshine pumper or someone who "thinks we're going to get everybody". Whatever the case, there are several people around him that thinks he's a big Bama lean right now.

Just to show what that's worth, there are just as many recruits, teammates, and a couple of coaches saying the same but about UGA. All in all, the kid is 45 minutes down the road from Athens and surrounded by UGA fans. I like our chances.

I'll say this. If ever there were a time for them to catch up talent-wise with the rest of the conference, it's over the past 2-3 recruiting cycles. I don't believe I've ever seen a program filter through so many legacy recruits in such a short amount of time. It seems like 1/4 of all of the elite players in the South in the last few years has been some UT legacy or a close relative of a former player there. If they don't make hay now, they never will. Never seen a program with so much recruiting luck. And that's not to diminish their recruiting job. They've clearly done a good job the last couple cycles, but my goodness.
