He wasn’t a great lb maybe played the wrong position but it hurts depth
Maybe he can turn it around but not a big loss in terms of impact on the field
But with how slow Hooked on Phonics Billy is with the portal it’s a big loss since we are bleeding starters and not getting any in any new players from the portal besides a few Ivy League kids

Scooby graded out as the worst LB In the SEC last year, and almost last in all of FBS (out of over 700 LBs). He may have been a starter but he was terrible. Terrible against the run and somehow even worse against the pass. Seemed like he had a few good pass rushes and you are really searching just to say anything positive about his play.

Maybe, but we could literally bring in any LB to replace Scooby and get at minimum equivalent production.
