This makes no sense. When the offense runs a high tempo offense that puts the defense on the field more which means they play more total plays which means they can have more tackles, sacks, INT, etc

How many high tempo offenses have you ever seen with a good defense and more specifically produced a defensive 1st pick? The only one I can think of is AU and I think we can all agree that was a truly unique situation with the guys they had on that team. You're right that the defense gets on the field more but they also get tired and give up a lot of points and tend to turn the ball over more. Never in football will you hear a coach say that he has to find a way to put the defense on the field more.

ETA: Again I'm not saying defensive kids don't get drafted from HUNH teams, they do, but they stand a better chance at it from an LSU/BAMA etc...

I hope OM gets this kid. I'm glad Dan focused more on our needs and didn't get hypnotized by this kids #1 ranking and try to keep on recruiting him. We are set at DL for the next couple years, but OM needs this kid right now. I hope y'all get him because I want to see this kid in an egg bowl game.

Chris Jones is going to overtake him in the rankings in a little bit anyways.

doubt that but RN hasn't put out like I expected him to this year, I think he only has like 4 sacks on the season. I'm sure he sees constant double team action though.

Guys. This one is over. I have heard from many in the Grayson area that he will go to Ole Miss. From what I have heard this has been in the works for some time and that at least one of the other Clemson commits is coming with him. Seems that the family really likes Freeze and the direction of the program. I wish we would have offered the younger brother sooner. Trust me Rob will dominate the field.

He did score 4 td's as rb in one game this year so there is that.

When I think about him playing RB I just vision some kid like I was, 6'0 180 playing safety, then insert a 6'3 270lb monster running faster than you in the open field.

Second attempt, he tripped and ran a 4.23 on the first don't hold it against him.

On the third attempt he was clocked at 45.88... Bundy was fapping to the first two 40 times and forgot to hit stop.

Outside of the last sentence none of this is true.
