We actually have done a great job of having those types of conversations with recruits but there will always be a few guys that are good enough to keep an offer out there for them regardless. Today we got Hall and didn't get Prevot. That's the game.
It's just a very odd switch as Oregon hasn't been int he picture until suddenly here at the end. Very much like Addison last year. Whatever, we have a great class and got the elite DE we needed, Prevot was just icing. It's not like our class is small this year or we can't use the flexibility to add more for next year.

It's not a big deal. It's not like he was even committed to us. He just chose Oregon. This is very different than Bralon Addison, a long-time commit, switching to Oregon on signing day.
Glad we got Hall. A rush DE was the only missing piece in our class.

U mad. Bowl ban was not on the table during summary disposition. Besides, he will play a 3/4 olb in our scheme...better fit.

Agree he is a much better LB prospect - he doesn't have the size for anything at DE other than pass rusher.

This one surprised me. I guess he wanted to be on the West Coast. Congrats Ducks.

His spot will require him to flex out and cover the slot. Pellum coached dio jordan, #15 on mock drafts, at that spot. Oregon is piling up d talent.

Time to lay the law down with our offers. If you visit Oregon in January then your offer to A&M is gone. We can't sit around and wait for kids to change their minds on signing day like Addison and Prevot have done.

Prevot never was committed to you...hence he had no change of heart.

No, soft verbals to USC are aTm locks. With Oregon hiring Ron Aiken, dl coach, whom has strong ties to Texas, we should be bumping up against each other a lot. Win some, lose some.

Sorry, Oregon isn't much of a threat in Texas except for one or two recruits a year. Besides, they ALL transfer out a few years down the road.

Were never going to take a bunch of Texans; you are reading too much into the comment.

Well A&M recruited him in to the Demontre Moore position which was also Von Miller a couple years before that, both of which may be the 1st Defensive players taken.
If Prevot wants to go to Oregon, good luck to him. Maybe he will pull a Tra Carson in a year or so or maybe he will be an All American. If we hadn't gotten Hall it would sting a whole lot worse but as it is more like "Oh well, we only get 18 4 Stars and now have room to add to next years smaller class."

Bralon Addison will back in Texas, at a Big XII school, after next season.
Prevot will take two seasons.

Bralon called Sumlin after the season, but we told him to pound sand - think he stays in Oregon as opposed to the limited choices in the little 10
