When was the last time he has been quoted to say this? If you have a link I would be interested. Only because I have seen sites say different but have not seen a quote in a while from him.

quote:

Our coaching staff is extremely confident

Who has a direct link with someone of the staff. I seriously doubt any site is talking with Coach O directly or someone like that. I guess the janitor in the locker is technically on the staff. I mead I love when these sites state it as if that have direct first hand knowledge as if it was told to them directly when I would wager 99% of the time it is indirectly done so with someone that has limited knowledge.

Goes both ways, a Bama insider (mentioned by Bama poster) stated that Surtain gave his silent to Saban while on his visit...

I missed that one if so but unlike many LSU fans most UA fans I doubt believe it since most on this believe at best we may have a chance but no where near the confidence LSU fans are showing that he is basically a lock.

He has said it plenty over the past 2 years and has stated it recently. I posted a link in one of my responses earlier in this thread. He definitely hasn't stated that he has no clear leader and everything is wide open with his recruitment, I know that for sure. And how easy would that be for him to say? LSU is still his leader, we are in prime position to sign him on wednesday.

LINK

Damn. Yall really want this kid bad. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you is all in saying. It's his decision, and LSU has the lead and has for a long time. Core raymond is so confident that we will sign him that he is already drawing up defensive backfield schemes with the idea that surtain will be on our team and in the mix. I saw that somewhere recently too. I expect him to sign with LSU wednesday, and so does damn near everyone that isn't a Bama homer.

Nothing I’m that post is a quote to back up your ascertains. Most Bama fans feel like it’s likely LSU, but most - like me - also think that we have a chance and to count Bama our would be foolish.

Bama has more to offer than LSU. Only thing LSU has over Bama is family ties in LA

More to offer in what regard? Yeah, Yall won more national titles, but there is absolutely nothing that Yall can offer him as a player that he won't have at LSU. We have the same facilities, support, a better defensive back coach, more dbs that are in the NFL and excelling there, and we have a better track record at getting players in the league than Bama does. Those are facts. He will be able to compete for titles at LSU too, and he will be just as prepared and probably more for his NFL career by coming to dbu over bama. What is better at Bama that you're speaking of?

He will have the same resources to utilize at LSU that he would have at bama. I don't get what you're saying when you say bama has more to offer.

I see LSU fans state this all the time so here is my question as I do not know honestly. Since I assume you are talking about the number of players drafted and or still in the league how many of those former LSU players were playing for Saban at LSU? I mean the program is not what is getting them to the league it is the coaches. How many has LSU put in the league and have been successful vs UA since Saban arrived at UA?

What mentality? Dude, what does Bama have to offer a prospect playing football that he can't get at LSU? Other than money and a charger, I don't see what you're talking about? Tell me what is better. What would make a player a better player just bc he went to Alabama instead of LSU? Please explain. But I'm the one that's off base? Lol. LSU has the same resources and facilities etc. for a player to utilize and perfect his craft as Bama does. Are you seriously saying LSU doesnt? What exactly are you talking about when you say LSU can't offer what Bama can?

In other words...if surtain Jr was to go to LSU and not bama, what would he be missing out on that would leave him less prepared for the nfl when it's his time? College titles don't matter in the nfl. It's how good of a player you are. So what would make him a better prospect just because he went to Alabama and not LSU? Would his skills be different if he went to bama over LSUor the other way around? It's just a stupid statement.

Yes a player can perfect his skill and get to the league at LSU but playing for Coach O is no where close to playing for Saban.

But the one thing though that is a fact that LSU can not offer right now and may be in the future they can but every class Saban has recruited at UA has won a NC. And if titles are important, and in many cases they are UA definitely has that advantage over LSU.

At Bama he plays for Saban, the GOAT. At LSU he plays for Ed, a guy who may or may not make it 2 more years.

At Bama he will likely win a championship in his 3 years. At LSU that’s highly unlikely.

LSU claims dbu, bu other than PP or Mathieu, who is elite in nfl from LSU?

Results have shown that LSU actually coach players better and prepare them for the NFL better than Bama. Most players in the NFL shows that.

100% undeniable fact.

We have 2 rookies in the NFL right now in tredavious white and jamal Adams that are tearing it up in the league right now. Jalen Mills is a starter for philly tonight in the superbowl from LSU. There are LSU dbs all over nfl rosters. Eric reid for sf is another just off the top of my head.

We will have another 2 dbs in this year's draft in Tolliver and jackson. We are always loaded at db, and he prospects recognize LSU as dbu whether you like it or not. That's just a fact.
