Georgia is showing 127 D1 prospects for 2019. Over 100 will sign with P5 programs. 28 are listed as top 300 right now ... by far the highest per capita of any state. Not even close.

Mississippi 2019 class has 12 top 250 prospects per 247, and should be the highest per capital.

Georgia is a football prospect factory. Gotta be the best per capita in the country when you combine sheer numbers with player rankings.

And people wonder if Kirbs will be successful....

Reading comp not really your strong suit I guess, math either for that matter, lol, the thread is about # of P5 signees by state, 2018 for example Ga had around 90 signed for 10+ million population, Mississippi had 17 P5 signed for nearly 3 million population, not even in the same ballpark ratio wise, if you extrapolate that out it would be approximately 55 or so P5 signees for Mississippi for 10+ million population.

Mississippi not even in the same category high school talent wise as GA, FL, Tx & CA

Also, that number could he higher if you included east st Louis.

Several kids(athletes) go back and fourth across the river throughout high school to play spots. East st louis is very much part of St louis.

There will not be 240+ D1 players signed outta the state of Georgia with this coming class. Not even close to that.

There may be, I stress MAY BE, 185 D1 level prospects ... but many of them will not qualify academically and that's part of the process, part of qualifying.

Mississippi would have twice as many if they were academically qualified.

If Georgia produces 165 D1 prospects overall, that would be an exceptional year for the state.

Florida, California and Texas all three could potentially exceed Georgia in total D1 signees this coming year and likely will. But then you get into a quality question and that's where the P5 qualifier comes into play.

Per capita, Georgia is tops right now and that's great for the SEC ... but it's all cyclical.

You have no idea what you're talking about...here's
the list from 2016 2016 210 and if you include service academies the list moves up to 220+.These are SIGNEES not prospects BTW.

Its also gone up progressively the last 5 years and there was more in '18 Here ya go

Not really although California and Ohio are trending down while Ga,Florida and Texas are trending up.Per Capita is not the important stat BTW...per participant is a much better indicator and Florida and Georgia have consistently been in the top 4 the last 5 years if not 1 and 2.

just counted 91 players from the state of Georgia that signed with P5 programs. The majority of their Top 30 players signed with Georgia.

If you're looking at 24/7 the number is 140 not sure if you clicked on through up to 300.

This person counted 147

totals

Yeah, and that's just for P5 schools plus ND, I'm curious as to how many total D1 players from the state of Georgia signed in 2018, got to be WELL over 200.

And if that person's numbers are correct, Gwinnett Countyalone had more
P5 signees than the entire state of Pennsylvania.

I did not includes service academies from the link or
the LS for UGA.The list did also included "preferred walk ons"but I was able to crOSS reference the P5's with the schools official list.

I didn't ... I stopped in the Top 150 per state because that's as far as it was listed at the time. I see that's it been expanded since.

I don't use Scout, no one does, but still ... I obviously missed the ones further down the list.

ETA: I see now that I entered my search parameters incorrectly. Mea culpa.

Except Richt went to a shite Miami school and turned their talent into a great season where they have been terrible for nearly a decade. I think Richt would have had the same success Kirby had with this team. Y’all just had a very good year with a team full of Richts recruits and leaders.

Then you're an absolute idiot. That was the best season we've had in over 3 decades in smart's 2nd year, but richt would have done just as well despite having a 15 year crack at it? You even said yourself the team was "full of richt's recruits and leaders"...well if that's the case why didn't richt get as much out of them as kirby?

You also fail to mention this team would be drastically different were richt still here. Most notably, we would have had Bailey Hockman at QB until October when Eason got healthy again, and something tells me Bailey wouldn't do quite as well as Fromm. And big time newcomers like Andrew Thomas, Deandre Swift, JR Reed, etc...who knows if they'd even be here if kirby wasn't?
