It feels like just yesterday when he was an OU “lock” yet they finished 4th for him.

Will come down to Mizzou and Georgia for the next 3 months and the next 3 years. Recruiting kids is no longer until their commitment or even signing anymore. Gotta keep them in the program even with the $750,000 Mizzou is giving him, cause it’s not a binding contract

Drinkwitz is having his recruiting moment now, he will have his coaching moment this fall

does that mean he will finally finish above .500 in his 4th year there? What is a good record in your opinion (probably the players too) for his 4th year? Do recruits stay if they go 7-5 and play in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl? Do the boosters keep offering $750,000 for top talent that are unproven at the college level?

It means everyone being passive aggressive or trolling Mizzou looks bad today.
Hell of a pick up Mizzou! Keep at it!

quote:congrats dawgs you finished second ….. smh is there really anything to brag about the kid said he loved OU all along which is what everyone was saying all along ….. uga finishing second does what exactly ? I don’t see the point of Missouri fans and UGA fans bragging about being ahead of OU …. The way I look at it is UGA lost out to Missouri why ? The bag….. Missouri was ranked number 53 in recruiting which makes a lot of sense to go to school there but hey it’s his choice . We steal recruits from Missouri all the time and beat them on the field all the time they know it we know it congrats it’s a really big pickup for your school !
b-b-b-b-but, it’s OU - it has to be OU….I have been told over and over and over that it’s the Sooners.

Mojo, they all love every school. Every kid plays the game. If they chose your school, you love them. If they don’t, take one to the chin.
Been following recruiting since I was a teenager. Rule 1, never get emotionally involved. And not getting emotional involved means not buying the hype before they commit.
In all, it was cool seeing Mizzou get some talent today.

Doesn't matter. Drink is doing work getting our boosters to pony up in the first place. No coach has like him.
You don't have to follow some stupid progression of wins to build a great program. That's so smooth brain.
I assumed the kid was waiting until today to decide, but he decided a while ago so I don't think he's as vulnerable to a flip as you all think

I think this has a lot of merit. Reading his comments afterwards its clear he wants to be closer to home. Thats something you can’t replicate elsewhere.

UGA fans have become so insufferable.

The point is you and other OU fans were obnoxious AF in this thread about how WN was OU and you wouldn’t hear of it that he could land anywhere else.
It’s not just you were wrong - but you were obnoxiously wrong. Welcome to the SEC.

In the days of open transfers it means a lot. If he ends up not happy at Mizzou (which I doubt) then UGA has a great relationship with him and a chance to land him the second time around

Lets not lump all fans into the same pot.

Probably. But, so what? It's legal. Wish we had gotten him, but we really didn't feel like we were in it at all.
