They were accurate. KJ told UGA Friday night and Saturday morning they were good on securing his commitment.

You cannot blame the source when a 17yo kid and his parents flip at last minute over a raised offer.

Or should this have been known? Please advise.

In other news, Mizzou is probably gonna get Nwaneri so there’s that. I don’t think the Kirby-KJ-Riaola deal is over by no means.

Yeah FSU could flounder this year for sure. That three game loss stretch last year was inexplicable

Kirby will keep the relationship he has built with KJ as he’s not one to burn bridges with recruits but I don’t see an NIL match - if he was going to do that, he would have done it yesterday.

Kirby will keep recruiting KJ but I don’t expect a flip.

He would have came to UGA if we matched the 2.75 FSU offered. Kirby offered ZERO his first year of development BUT guaranteed him 3 Million if he earned his way to be a starter. The father acted like a bitch and Kirby essentially told em to frick off.

This story is gaining steam… The father is about the paper. He was the guy that allegedly had the last call with Kirby. If true, this one ain’t over.

Everything I’ve seen says I t’s mom that’s all about the upfront money “if something happens.” Dad is squarely in the development camp due to his past.

Word from SoFl is he is not hearing much buzz inside the Butts Mehre building about Nwaneri and UGA rn.

He still believes it will be Mizzou. He never mentions OU as the likely landing spot. So trusting him - I would probably say

1) Mizzou
2) OU
3) UGA

Tennessee writers seem to think they've re-entered the picture, but aren't whatsoever confident in him going there.

I'm at like 45% OU, 35% Mizzou, 19 % UGA, 1% Vols

We need to do a home/away Sonic series to make it fair.

I have no idea who is right or wrong and of course due to him being the #1 recruit its a big deal to each team involved. Hope we snag him but its actually nice that no one really knows. Its the recruits day so glad its not spoiled for him.

All sorts of new rumors floating out there. Supposedly NW reached out to the staff in Athens last week and told them he isn’t locked in to anywhere ahead of Monday’s announcement. Mizzou is pushing him to sign FA paperwork ahead of the new state law that would allow him to receive NIL money as a high schooler; that law takes effect 9/19/23. Also heard the relationship with OU has soured recently.

All that to say I don’t think anyone has a solid grip on where this kid will end up going.

Read on same board as you. SoFl still doesn’t believe Nwareni ends up at UGA - between momma wanting him closer to home and Mizzou going in deep on NIL for the home state kid.
