I don't think Moses finishes the year as the number one player in the country

LSU will make up ground with at least 5 1st round picks next year.

Fournette
Adams
Dupre
White
One of Godchaux/Beckwith/Neal/Pocic/Dural

Careful projecting who will be a first rounder before their final season is played. We all thought Landon Collins was going to be a first rounder and you guys all thought Lae'l Collins was going to be. Both weren't for different reasons, but you can't predict some of these things.

That said, Bama will have some first rounders this year to extend the lead, and they'll potentially have first rounders next year in OJ Howard, Cam Robinson, Rueben Foster, Eddie Jackson, etc.

Let's just forget about the fact that he's already planning to go to the NFL after 3 years and nobody has produced more NFL ready underclassmen than LSU in the last 5 years. Most of those who went in the first 3 rounds and have been successful. But yeah, a kid that grew up in the shadows of Tiger Stadium is probably a long shot.

Not saying he's a long shot. I think it's 50/50 with LSU and Bama at this point. However, just b/c you've had a bunch leave early doesn't mean they got drafted high. All the Bama guys who left with eligibility remaining went in the first 2 rounds. Most went in the first round.

What school you go to won't impact your round, but to say Bama hasn't proven the ability to develop talent and get it ready for NFL first round status at the highest level in the country is to ignore the facts.

But how many of those first round picks actually become big names or even great players. Let's be honest.

How many "big names" or "great players" are in the NFL? If you are a starter who gets that 2nd contract with big money then you're good to go.

* Julio Jones - 2nd highest paid WR in NFL. Bona fide Star.
* Dont'a Hightower - rated top blitzing LB in NFL and among best at his position. Will sign a massive 2nd contract
* Mark Ingram - signed a new deal with team that drafted him. Only a couple of "elite" RBs in NFL, but he's among top in that next level of RBs
* Kareem Jackson - signed a $32M 2nd NFL contract
* Dre Kirkpatrick - had his $7M 5th year option picked up by team. Will likely sign a $25M+ contract
* Mark Barron - got in a better system for his talent, lead team in tackles, finished 6th in NFL in tackles, is a priority resign for the Rams and will make $25M+
* Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix - starter from week one of his rookie year.
* CJ Mosley - starter from week one of his rookie year. Pro Bowler. Star in Baltimore.
* Andre Smith - signed $27M second NFL contract on top of $42M rookie deal (before the slotting of contracts changed)
* Amari Cooper - Star. Top 10 WR in the league. Pro bowler and 1,000 yard receiver as a Rookie
* Chance Warmack - starter since game one of rookie season

* Dareus - pro bowler. highest Non QB ever

I could go on. The only "busts" are Richardson (bust as of now, but STILL getting another shot) and Milliner (bust but has been injury plagued - had 3 INTs as a rookie and hasn't played as much due to injuries since).

Isn't Dareus the highest paid non QB ever?

I can say with complete confidence that I did not in fact think Landon Collins would be a first round pick. He got burned a lot.

And regardless of this shouting match you can say that both of these teams are basically an NFL player making factory. Pair these two against any other combination of two teams in the country with the amount of players they currently have in the NFL and it won't even come close.

Let's be honest folks....if Lael's ex gf doesn't get murdered he is a top ten pick! Dallas got a steal and they FN know it.

That list is Julio and everyone else....

Dareus may have peaked in 2014 just judging by his stats, Kareem Jackson's a good corner, Mosely and Cooper are climbing, still early in their careers though.

IF, big if at this point, the kid somehow changes course and ends up at LSU, I'm sure Bama will find a way to "deal with it" just like they did when LF ended up at LSU. So far he's 0-2 against Bama, while Bama has won 2 SEC and 1 National Title during his time in the Red Stick - and Bama is leading cfb in NFL first round picks. I'm wondering if all that has passed Moses' awareness. I'm betting it has not.

Big if??

Prepare to be disappointed. And I know you feel invincible but the last thing Saban wants is the top LB in the country and the top two DT's in the country headed to LSU (Wilson/Shelvin). Those are areas Bama has shined in and LSU has lacked. Them coupled with one of the top DT coaches in the country in O and a top LB coach in Aranda could cause a lot of problems vs your O in the future

Yeah. Big if. He doesn't have them in his top 5 as recently as yesterday. He doesn't live in LA any longer, so he doesn't have that constant "don't ever come back looking for a job if you don't choose LSU" talk in his ear. He has been high on Bama for a long time. He sees (and his family sees) how many LSU fans acted when he decommitted.

At this point, LSU is not the favorite, so for a kid to go anywhere other than their favorite is/would be a "big if".

Ingram averaged 4.6 ypc in 2015. Only two running backs had a better average YPC with greater than or equal to his number of carries. Those backs were Doug Martin (4.9 YPC on 228 carries) and Todd Gurley (4.8 on 229 carries).

He finished tied for 3rd in the NFL in number of 40+ yard carries. He finished 2nd in the NFL in % of carries resulting in first down among RBs with 150+ carries.

I'm not saying Ingram is elite - pretty much only AP, Gurley, and maybe one or two more can claim that. But of the rest of the RBs, Ingram is among the top of that group. He's a top 10 RB in the NFL making him one of the top 1/3 at his position in the league.

Big if my a$$. He is just sending warning signs to LSU that they better keep Miles or else. It's so obvious. He has always dreamed of playing in TS and that feeling doesn't just vanish. He also came out and said that he just needs to get to know Aranda better...he was tight with Steele as well. Aranda is one of the top LB minds in the country if not the best. So far everyone has loved him and Moses is very intiqued by him. Just watch it all unfold brother once he feels more secure that Miles will be his coach. The kid absolutely adores the man. I know all of this from a ton of articles that have come out since he was committed since the eighth grade lol. I like that he is away from home as it will most likely make him ready to come back...that's what happened with Drake Davis :-)

Do you honestly think a 17 year old kid coming or not coming to a school is going to be the deciding factor - or even a considered factor - on if LSU keeps Les beyond 2016?

If LSU plays well and has a good season, Les stays. If LSU is 8-4 type record and loses to Bama for a 6th straight time, Les is likely gone and all the "warning signs" from 17 year old kids won't be enough to save him.

If it didn't cost so much to buy him out and get another staff in last year, Les is likely already gone.

of course not, but he is trying to send a message. Get your shite straight or I plan to go elsewhere. Read this article below and tell me we don't have a great shot. He is very passionate about Miles and our program.

You shouldn't assume things would have been a certain way. You are a mere spectator watching from the sidelines, you have no idea what may or may not have happened.
