Lawson is rated as the 2nd best player by ESPN. To say he has not performed better over his career than Jones is ridiculous. Not saying Jones isn't good. Miss State will enjoy him I'm sure.

Where did I say he hasn't? Also, as Omaha pointed out, Jones didn't start playing football until his Junior year.

No, I just think RN is over rated.
Based on what, skirp? Have you seen him play? Have you seen him at camps? Have you met him? Have you spoken with coaches and scouts?
What makes you qualified to call him overrated?
Fine, think whatever you want to think. Just don't expect me to agree with what you think.

I highly doubt you know enough about developing and coaching football players to make such a statement.

You're right, he could very well develop some more. My point was that he is already very developed, he is 6'4 and has no room to gain weight without getting moved to DT. I think what you see now is likely the finished product. That's my opinion obviously and I don't expect you to agree with it unless he commits to someone other than Ole Miss. And DC no I haven't met him but I have watched his film and followed him for as long as recruiting sites have, he is a talented kid but he has been that talented for 2 years. In the end I think Denzel will be the better player out of the two, he has really progressed and turned into a strong player.

I don't think many people would agree with your opinion.
The same coaches that have turned Denzel (who wasn't heavily recruited) into a "strong player" will have the opportunity to coach and develop RN (that is if he goes to OM).

Safety =/= D-Line. You are comparing apples and oranges with their coaching both past and future. Not to mention the difference in body types, Denzel had room to grow and get stronger/faster. I honestly don't know how he was so under the radar in HS.

I realize position coaches vary, but as a whole RN would benefit from the same defensive staff Denzel has.
Kiffin and Jackson would have a field day with RN.

His grades sucked. Nobody thought he'd qualify, which is why he flew under the radar.

Remind me what our DL did against the state OL this year. EJ MOTHER frickING EPPERSON did what he wanted to all night. He's a tight end. RN is the best DE in the country (arguably), so how do you think that will turn out? (If he signs of course)

How players grow into their frame in terms of coordination as well as building more solid muscle is important. Most people get stronger, even if there is no muscle mass increase, when they are 21 vs 18. This has to do with neuromuscular responses and basic coordination. Athletically he still has room to grow. He hasn't maxed out in high school
You also make the assumption that he can't be coached up. I doubt a kid in high school has better technique and skills than a college DE. He has a lot of room to grow as DE.

Pretty sure he's talking about Denzel. Well we now know an easy way to get under Bundy's skin.

From another website
"My friend was on the sidelines during the all star game and he said Chris Jones came over to the Bama side and threatened to kill the next m'fer that held him.

I wouldn't mess with him. Holding him was the only way to slow him down, he had his way all game

That thug behavior clearly means he is an Aubie lock.

He is going to be a homicidal maniac by his Junior year then if he has a problem with Bama holding now.
