Just a total State lock that didn't play the recruiting game at all really...
Showed up at our first summer camp as a total unknown to everyone and ran a couple of low 4.7s, with measurables off the charts. Similar athleticism and measurables to RN, but is seriously 2 years behind him in technique. We offered him and he accepted same day. When he committed, no one had never heard of him(because he'd only played part of one year of competitive football after transferring to Houston).
Paul Jones initally rated him an 85 3*. Barton Simmons and Keith Neibuhr came and saw him at our second camp(BDC) and bumped him to a 90 4*. Then, Gerry Hamilton came and saw him at a game and practice, and bumped him to a 94 4*. I'm not sure who was responsible for bumping him up to a 96. From what I can gather, his technique has improved greatly as the year has gone on, but he's still incredibly raw overall(I'm not confident that Chris Wilson can teach him shite at this point, given what I DIDN'T see from Autry, Quay, and Nick James).. Had a monster season statistically though

Interesting, I am surprised no one has made a run at him. Especially Alabama.

A few schools have tried, most recently Miami, he's just apparently not interested at all. I expect a bunch of teams to make a late run at him after the Ms/Ala game and the UA All-American game...

If MSU offers then why look anywhere else? Such a great school, program, and Merlin has them staring at 10 wins next season! Very scary what they're building in Starkville.

Not at all incomprehensible that a blue-chip that grew up 30 miles from Starkville would want to be a Bulldog above all else. Mississippi kids stay home and play football in Ms at an equal or greater rate than anywhere in the country, outside of MAYBE La.
Teams get kids from the MS JUCO ranks who were initially from other parts of the country and that gives them validation that they can come poach Ms highschools? Good luck with that!

Supposidly he said he would really like an LSU offer. Even if he did say it, probably just wants it for bragging rights. We would take him in a heartbeat though. Shea or Sonny of GEAUX24/7 will probably check into it. I'm sure that rumor has made it there by now.

Sudden interest is coming from LSU, not Chris Jones although I'm sure he's willing to listen to what they've got to say. Not at all surprising to me... We've been expecting schools to try to make a run on him for awhile. Still very confident that he's a Bulldog.
