That's disappointing. I wish his nickname would have been Evan Stone.

Correction: you hope he has that shite in line. Time will tell.

Trust me -- we didn't want Carr to quit. He was our best receiver by the end of his freshman year in 2010. Only true deep threat that could get open we've had in Mullen's entire tenure thusfar(his biggest single failure in recruiting IMO). Heard all about how he was tearing it up in the fall of 2011 -- had mediocre performances in the first two games(Relf missed him at least once in the Auburn game wide open deep) and he never played again after that game. He never put up great stats for us as a true fr -- but our excitement was more about how he could get open deep. Would have had pretty big numbers if Relf wouldn't overthrow him by 10 yards every time.
He's a 4* deep threat that we're getting back as a walk-on. Absolutely huge for us if it all works out...

Correct. Carr for us is similar to Snoop for yall in that regard. Cautious optimism is all either of us can really afford on that...

True. What did Carr do when he quit? Just go sit at home or go to school and play? Knowing that Snoop went to school and played has me feeling better about how he has tried to turn it around and open his eyes and realize what he has.

Carr dropped out and went home to the best of my knowledge...
Like I say -- he had some serious mental health issues that had to be addressed before he was/is going to be allowed to return.

Have you seen your other wide receivers? He will start.

If he does that must be one heck of a Receiving Corp down there in Starkpatch.

According to the Ole Miss board here that's what they're calling Merlins in Starkville now.

It's a big problem and questionmark for us, no doubt. Mullen's WR recruiting has left alot to be desired until this season. Pretty happy with how we've done on this class if we can hold onto Smith, although missing on Rumph was pretty brutal.

you do realize most ole miss fans think you're fricking terrible? that goes for umrebel2009 and the rest of you that are as obsessed with State as you claim we are with you.

On a serious note, do you think Mullen tries to pound the ball on the ground even more with Perkins with a young and inexperienced wr group?

Get the frick off this board. You're stuck on the MSU board.
