LSU lands #1 OT, Badara Traore

The waiting game is over for the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle.
On Wednesday morning, four-star Badara Traore shut things down and signed with LSU.
Traore, who committed to LSU during a visit earlier this month, made an official visit to Tennessee over the weekend, which was the final time prospects were allowed to meet face-to-face with college coaches ahead of this past Monday’s dead period.
Traore is one of four offensive linemen planning to sign with the Tigers this week, joining center Cole Smith, offensive tackle Cameron Wire and fellow JUCO prospect Damien Lewis, who is being recruited to Baton Rouge as an offensive guard.
At 6-foot-8 and 315 pounds, Traore is ranked as the No. 1 offensive tackle prospect on the 247Sports Composite.
Traore is wrapping up his fall semester at ASA College in New York and will enroll in LSU in January. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Not the sexiest class, but certainly the beefiest. We got a LOT bigger in the trenches today on both sides, which reflects Orgerons influence. Looks like we will have five and maybe scholarships after today to reel in the skill position guys.

This class might not rank top five, but this is a good year of positions we very much need depth at. Very good under the radar class.
