He played strictly in a 3-4 defensive front 7 as the OLB or Jack LB (in Bama's scheme that is the nickname) stood up a lot and roamed protecting the edge as the OLB
He also did play RB for Grayson simply because I guess hey didnt have a RB

People forget that Nkemdiche early in his recruitment was considered a Bama lock. He would've been a perfect jack in that D.

During his high school career, he played DE with his hand in the dirt and RB. The first two years he returned KO's as well, unless you want to call Coach Conn a liar.

I watched plenty of Nkemdiche tape trust me
He was a lot more effective in a Upshaw type role as an OLB rushing and dropping
And I don't trust Coach Conn as far as I could throw him (which based on his size and mine is probably pretty far so that's probably a bad comparison but you get my jist lol)
He's a Bama grad and alum, played on a NC team and he screwed Bama in a lot of ways with Robert's recruitment so know I don't trust him
