By now it's not news that JT Daniels has three schools he's reportedly considering: West Virginia, Oregon State and Mizzou. I just thought I'd start a thread to keep up with the news and rumors as he makes his decision which isn't expected to come until after spring ball.

Last week he visited Oregon State and now just read:

1. He is expected to visit MU this weekend
and
2. Drinkwitz was the first to reach out to Daniels once he entered the portal (so much for Drink not "actively pursuing")

We were told OSU was his most likely destination when he put his name in the portal for what it’s worth. I’d hate to face him at Mizzou next year.

Please understand I'm asking not challenging when I ask told by who? Do you think this was coming from coaches or players he's close with?

Again, not challenging just trying to get a read. As I said in my OP, this is a thread for news and rumors so I appreciate your input.

If I were him, I'd make the decision based on pass protection acumen of the Olines (TEs and RBs also), plus the talent of the receivers and fit for scheme.
I might even choose whichever school was going to be playing defenses least likely to tear up my body.
He needs a healthy year to show off his passing ability. Facing SEC defenses will make that hard. Would love him at Mizzou.

It's going to come down to whether Drink is willing to adapt his offense to JT's strength, which is throwing the ball down the field.

He's apparently going to attend our spring game Saturday. He'll probably see the QBs running zone reads and rolling out quite a bit. Unless Drink convinces JT (and himself) that the offense will be a pass-first attack, I think the other 2 options might be more attractive as far as putting up numbers to impress NFL scouts.

No offense taken. We have a pretty legit insider that posts on another board. He gets info from the players and their families.

Oregon State would not be a surprise to me. I can't say I'm familiar with Pac 12 defenses, but I can't believe they are as tough as what he would face in the SEC.

If you are looking to showcase your talents for 2 more years, look for the place with the greatest chance for success. I've read a few articles suggesting Oregon State's scheme might fit him.

At MU, you will be joining an unproven offense (yet hopefully improved with some exciting new pieces and a more than adequate receivers room in my opinion) and will be facing SEC defenses. I'm hoping against hope we can land him, but I wouldn't put money on it.

Please, someone, convince me I'm wrong so I can get my hopes up. Remember, I'm a Mizzou fan and addicted to the pain (although recently not too many disappointments strangely).

No question the system at Oregon State fits him better but there’s not a lot of glitz around that program. When’s the last time they beat out anyone for east of the Rockies for a name recruit?

Honestly, JT just doesn’t seem like a great fit for what Drink wants to run. I mean, I’m sure that we could tailor the system to his strengths but the offense we run works a lot better with a mobile QB.

If we get him great, if not I won’t be upset.

If that’s what you want to believe then go right ahead. I don’t know too many people that would have said OSU from the start as a guess and then it be right. Dude has been money and has stuff out there days, weeks, and months before anyone when it comes to UGA.

I’d would rather Jonathan Smith at Oregon State not get his hands on him.

Y'all have made JT Daniels into some mythical all-time QB.

He's not good. If he was, he would have been hoisting the national title trophy instead of Stetson Bennett.

A healthy JT is a damn good qb.

Based on what, exactly?

Leading Georgia to 3 points against Clemson?

24 points against Cincinnati?

Was he healthy vs Clemson? Did he have a full supporting cast vs Cincy?

So list the games where he proved to be a great QB.

Should be easy according to your stance.

Who said great great? I’d say 400 yards vs a top ten team is pretty damn good against Cinci for starters.

Alabama's Heisman winning QB only threw for 180 or so yards against Cincinnati. Maybe Young isn't as good as we thought?

He personally dropped Georgia's defense from the potential best defense in college football history to out of the Top 15.

Comparing JT Daniels to Bryce Young is hilarious.

But we can examine both scenarios if you would like.

Cincinnati was up 21-10 on Georgia in the 4th quarter. Daniels was forced to pass to get back in the game. It also didn't help that your run game produced 45 total yards.

Alabama, on the other hand, jumped out to a double digit lead in the 1st half and pounded out 300 yards on the ground.

But you knew that already.
