Truth funny to you? The last actual good QB you had is about to retire from the NFL. Granted, he is probably the best to ever play, but you don't see us acting like every CB should come to UGA because one of the best ever was here 15 years ago.

WTF are you talking about? Go look at Ainge, Clausen and Bray's numbers while at Tennessee and get back to me before you spew this nonsense on the recruiting board. I never said UGA hasn't developed quarterbacks either, but this actually has nothing to do with Malone.

I was talking about the next 3-4 years which is when Malone will be in college. You don't know how Park or Ramsey will do just like I don't know how Ferguson or Dobbs will do. Quit getting so damn offended.

Sure your Rivals guy didn't get his info twisted? As in, they have visits scheduled on all those days, but from all three schools, not just UT.

It was on Clemson's rivals page. Georgia has an in home, I think, today. Clemson is Tuesday. Tennessee is Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday.

He isn't getting offended...but stop acting like UGA and TN are on equal footing as far as QB development go. They are not. UGA is MILES ahead of UT in that department. YOU are then one who needs to stop getting offended.

The only point I was making is that if I was a WR and it was down to UGA and TN, again without a total bias one way or another, I'd go where they have had multiple great QB's recently, including a #1 draft pick.

Tennessee is better at developing QBs.

Simms - Jets
Bray - chiefs
Manning - broncos

Ainge and Crompton(currently in CFL) have both been in the league within the past 3 years. BJ Coleman (packers)and Nick Stephens(cowboys)both started games as Vols, but transferred out because they were passed on the DC.

Stafford - lions

Ok outside of Stafford, have any of your QBs from the Mark Richt era ever taken a snap in the NFL? Still not sure what this has to do with Malone...

Sounds pretty biased to me considering Malone is a WR and Tennessee has more WR in the NFL than UGA.

All I see is that both schools have one starter in the NFL.

1 starter, 2 backups >>> 1 starter, 0 backups. Plus, we're substantially better at developing WRs.

... and Butch Jones had nothing to do with any of those QBs or WRs.

Bray and Simms are only there because they are recent. Greene and Shockley are better than both and have already completed the exact career those two will have, just different teams. Barring catastrophic injury, neither of those two will ever see the field. Which is particularly sad in the case of Simms, as the Jets will play any warm body they can find at QB and pretend they are a top flight starter.

Like I said, you guys have the GOAT QB that is about to retire, and we have another top level QB on a horrifically shitty team that should be around for a while. That is what the programs can claim.

Difference is Richt can claim he actually coached all those QBs, while the best QB that Butch has ever actually groomed? Dan Lefevour. When Richt wants to look back at QBs he groomed at other schools...he has Heisman winner Charlie Ward.

CFL? GTFOH with that shite.

And you want to claim QBs that left the school but then ended up as backups? Well, we've got at least one coming out this year in Mettenburger who I'd put up against every single UT QB that has come out since Peyton.

Guys, I get you want to defend your school, but there is a reason that UGA is at least in on every top pro-style QB recruit every single season while UT ends up scrambling for everyone else's 3-star castoffs. Fighting off the likes of Boston College, Cincinatti, Syracuse, USF, UNC, Louisville and MTSU.

Richt has his issues as a head coach, but QBs are not one of them.

Matt Simms played in an NFL game just nine days ago.

No it didn't...we are having a debate about QB development, which imo should be the deciding factor on a WR that is looking at colleges. WR, unlike a lot of other position players, need a good QB to be effective. Since Rich has been at UGA..even in transitions and off years, UGA has had a quality QB that could feed WR the rock. Tenn can't claim this and has been less than mediocre in QB development, and Butch Jones has proven NOTHING about QB development.

Point is...if the kid chooses Tenn, which I am almost 95% sure he will, it will be obvious he didn't take that fact into account.

So, we can count Ainge and Crompton. See, there is literally no way you can reasonably say UGA is better at developing QBs. The facts simply don't support it.

Not sure why this is even worth discussing. 0% chance Malone ends up at UGA.

If this is true, then please explain to me how is it that Tennessee has more WR than UGA in the league if we are "less than mediocre" when it comes to developing QBs.

Or maybe Malone isn't comparing schools with a UGA bias like you are

We all know the answer is zero. He's also coached at two mid level schools that attract zero big recruits before he came to UT.

I've been wondering for 2 pages what any of this has to do with Malone? All I said was that UGA has question marks behind Mason just like Tennessee has question marks with Ferg and Dobbs. I didn't think this would turn into a QB development pissing contest with you UGA posters.
