It's like falling down. It's always funnier when it happens to someone else

LSU's struggle years were equivalent to USCe's best years. Not exactly apples to apples.

I never got into it with him....mainly because I had no idea......but....it would seem an awful lot of people are eating their crow.

Sweet, I found another LSU fan who thinks football started after 2000. I guess you have 90's amnesia.

Also good to know that when LSU struggles they still finish in the top ten 3 straight years like USCe did.

Pretty sure this is wrong...by a long shot.

SC had several 11-2 years.
LSU
2014: 8-5
2009: 9-4
2008:8-5

I realize that your team has had a great year, and congrats. But don't act like LSU has not had some rough years, too. We all have.

I wasn't laughing at LSU. You have some serious issues, Cadello.

There was a LSU fan making fun of SC and said LSU worst seasons were better than SC best years. I was pointing out that LSU has had some off seasons, too. I also pointed out that we all have.

FWIW, I grew up a LSU fan and was born in Baton Rouge.
I know a little about LSU football. An old family friend was George Rice. We used to call him "Big George".
But then, you probably don't know who he was. So go lecture somebody else on here. You are looking at the wrong guy.

They had 11 win seasons 3 years in a row, then you have to go back to 84 to find another double digit season, LSU won 11 or more in 03, 05, 06, 07, 10, 11 and 19. Won 10 in 01 and 18. So that’s 9 10+ win seasons vs 3. Huge difference.

You make a good point when responding to that guy.

I have always been a huge LSU fan when they're not playing my Gamecocks.

Having been Paul Dietzel's waterboy so-to-speak when he first arrived at SC, and having remained close enough to him over the years that we talked a couple of times every year come hell or high water, often more .... I couldn't help but be a closet fan.

Had him on my radio show every year. We always had great conversations and he always had a ton of great stories to tell. I missed him when he left this area (and up around Boone) to move back to Baton Rogue but I got to see him twice out there and we had dinner with the wives.

Was at his funeral, shared those pictures with everyone here on the Rant.

Then there was Jerry Stovall. An immediate family member played in the Hershey Bowl in '58 with Jerry and, while they signed with different schools, they remained fast friends. Enough so that my senior year in HS Jerry came out and spoke at our Athletic Banquet and handed me the defensive MVP award .... hell, that was a big deal to me at the time. He stayed with us that weekend ... listening to LSU stories was something I'll never forget.

So this entire Burch melt display by LSU fans on the heels of having a great season .... it's disappointing. Makes me rethink things. Coach would be philosophical about it and remind me of his story about SC traveling to LSU and him walking into the hotel in NOLA the first year he took the job at SC .... a game he had actually scheduled while still at LSU, he was always philosophical about that experience, and forgiving. But you could always hear the disappointment that had lingered with him over the years.

I dunno.

I just don't understand it sometimes. I've defended LSU fans so many times here and elsewhere, but this has been an eye opener. It's really disappointing.

South Carolina plays in the weak east. LSU would have gone to the sec championship game almost every year since 2000 in the east

3 teams in the west won more than half the NC since 2007
