But the problem with this is what if UGA doesn't have an OC for his official visit?
If that is the case, then yes, I would be very surprised if Eason stays with us. He would really have no reason to, other than the fact that he has built relationships with other commits.
I am confident that OC will be in place early next week at the latest, based on some good sources. Also anyone who thinks this situation is lost on Kirby Smart has their head in the sand. He will be one of the first people receiving a call from Kirby on Sunday when this thing becomes official.

The Trent Thompson and Terry Godwin argument isn't applicable.
UGA wasn't going through major staff overhauls last year.

There is no guarantee we are going with a major overhaul here either. We could retain most of the staff at this point. No one really knows.

I think the point of that argument is that every recruit leaves their OV in that school's gear.
I can't count the number of recruits I've seen wearing "Commit to the G" shirts in Athens who didn't end up with us.

And it is this uncertainty that makes me confident that Eason ends up elsewhere.
Also, 247 just reported that Eason is not interested in Miami. It's a Florida-Georgia battle.

The only way Florida gets Eason, is if we hire an OC that runs the option. That will bot happen.

Florida Georgia is correct. F before G always.

Has UGA said if they were keeping Schotty?
If Eason's OV is next weekend, what if UGA still doesn't have their OC officially named?
Schotty's not coming back. And you're banking an awful lot on us not having an OC. We'll name Tyson Helton next week and he'll be here in plenty of time for the Easons next weekend.

Interesting... the OC from Western Kentucky, a guy that Eason has probably never met or been in contact with in his entire life.
Then you have Nussmeier, who has recruited Eason and met his family on numerous occasions over the past few years.
I like Florida's chances more and more.

UGA's trump card is the financial paperwork. They will have unlimited contact during the dead period.
True, but can't Eason sign that paperwork with more than one school? Seems I remember someone else doing that last year. Anyone knowledgeable about the financial paperwork want to weigh in on that?

You can, but only the first school he signed it with will get all of the unlimited contact benefits.Eason is allowed to contact our coaches during the dead period. Our coaches just aren't allowed to contact him (other than Twitter private messaging)

Ah, okay. Didn't realize it was that beneficial to be the first. Thanks for the info.

Unless Eason cancels the OV next weekend for the Bulldog Football Gala, there is ZERO smoke to this story. His dad has been integral to his recruitment, and to go on a visit to UF without his parents, there's no way he pulls the trigger on flipping to the Gators.
You can absolutely bet that he's Kirby's first call after the press conference, Sunday/Monday.

The dad does not matter
This is Mac's pitch(which seems to pretty damn good with quarterbacks lately) vs. Kirby's pitch
I think the fact that you hired a defensive coordinator has him weary and he's making sure he's got his fallback and as fast as coach Mac had Grier looking good before he blew it id say he chose well

His dad (and the rest of his family) definitely matter

I'm just saying this ain't some kid with a single mom calling the shots telling him where he can and can't go
I'm sure he's talking to his dad about everything but the choice is his

You clearly have no idea how the Easons operate. His dad has been running his recruitment the whole time and now that he's gotten laid in Florida you think the dad doesn't matter
