Very Possible, but Pruitt is digging out of a much bigger whole in my opinion. Florida still has some real talent. I’m not sold on Mullen but I’m certainly not certain a guy who has never been a head coach is ready to completely rebuild a roster and control his coaches and players off the field. Color me skeptical.
Tennessee has recruited as good or better than Florida the last 4 years. Don't see how you can claim Florida has more talent. I've watched Florida a lot this year, I don't see many guys on that team I would want on mine.
McElwain did not do a good job recruiting. Especially when you consider how talent rich the state of Florida is.
Florida has to recruit a lot better moving forward. You can't act like that hasn't been a problem the last 3 years.

Nobody is confusing this Florida team with a championship roster, Florida has to do a much better job recruiting, but I still think they are in better shape than Tennessee. We had 20+ players missing for half of the year with a coach that was completely checked out. However I could be wrong and Pruitt hits the ground running winning SEC Titles. I guess we will see.

IMO Copeland is legit interested in the Vols because of Pruitt.

You guys didn't win a single game in the SEC, man.
Oh yeah, and we beat you. You got beat, basically, and I'mma have to list this 'cause there are a lot of factors.
1. An HC who was already one foot out the door, even then. He was so uninspired.
2. The worst quarterback to be fielded by the Gators since Skylar Mornignsdghaweoighweigh, and probably the second worst in the last two decades.
3. With our best receiver and running back suspended.
4. Missing our captain at Safety.
5. After a Hurricane.
I'm happy you guys are happy, but there is a lot that needs to be fixed at Tennessee.
Vanderbilt figuratively planted their flag on your field, man.

Vanderbilt.

We...beat them? Missing like 16 scholarship players after a hurricane in which most of our players weren't even on campus for a few practice days.

I'd be so mad if you guys got Copeland, if I'm being honest.

Tennessee had 80 starts lost to injury. I know you guys were missing Callaway and Scarlett but Tennessee for the second consecutive year had a mind-blowing amount of injuries. By the end of the year, they were down to 5 scholarship offensive lineman. I'm not saying Tennessee is in better position. Just saying both teams have as much work to do as the other to get back to the championship level both fanbases want.

1. Tennessee had a mind-blowing amount of injuries this year. Over 80 starts lost to injury. By the last month of the season they were down to 5 scholarship offensive lineman. They started with 14 scholarship offensive lineman. By November 9 were lost either to season ending/career ending injury or transfer.
2. Tennessee's coach was Butch Jones. The master of incompetent in-game coaching.
These 2 factors are why Tennessee's talent level is not as deficient as their performance last year proved. Better health and a better coaching staff could have the team looking a lot better next year.
