Quality post that I agree with.
And also why I enjoy this discussion more with you than anyone else here.
Strictly hypothetically -- I think we end with Lewis, Adams, Danley, Bates, and Campbell. We probably have to place(not actually sign) or greyshirt 1-2 guys. Have heard of some grade casualties, but we will see. All 5 of those are 4*s to me regardless of what rankings say, although I wouldn't be at all surprised if they actually are all 4*s in the end -- with Danley being the most questionable of the bunch(I literally don't trust in OL evaluations beyond the top 20 or so every class). I feel pretty good about all of those guys coming to MSU, although Danley has me concerned with OU and I'm still thinking Bates may get a late LSU offer. We've got a bunch of fairly highly-recruited guys with good chances of bumping in rankings, some that I'm kinda surprised haven't already.
I think you end with Patterson, trade Amadi for Ordway, Rankin, Gragg, Bridges. Maybe Richmond too but I'm not dumb enough to try to project Memphis with the new crootin machine they've got spinning up in Knoxville now. I'm sure you'll find 1-2 more good guys in there as well.
Done with this argument for now

I'm the one that bumped this thread?

Did I say you bumped the thread? It's funny what you project being so far from reality though.
See? I can do that too.
The OM fan who bumped the thread literally posted nothing about recruiting...this year or next. He posted his prediction for how MSU does this season. You're the one that came back spewing shite about recruiting.
You want to bring up distorted reality again? Is this another example of Engie's mind making things up again? You don't have to answer that....it's obviously rhetorical.

It was more like "OM flips a Bama recruit 18 months out and runs to bump a 2015 recruiting thread to point out a 2016 event and remind MSU fans of their nonexistent inferiority".
^^ example of a distorted reality.

I said I dont know who you're after. What four stars are left on your board?
Also I dont do ban bets because they are worthless but ill make a friendly wager. $100 donation to the opposing athletic department if Ole Miss' top 20 is below MSU's. Loser must post proof.

All while Freeze is getting his arse handed to him in recruiting as we speak by the guy who a bunch of you have been telling us for years can't recruit...
You get all those prospects -- you roughly equal our current class -- and that's assuming we don't close with who we expect to close with.
We've known this was going to be a heavy MSU class. The fact that we are going to steal Fletcher Adams from MSU, shows how dominate Freeze is over Dan. It's pathetic that we are still in the game for the MS Top 5.
You guys can have the #1 class handed to you and I won't be impressed if we steal Adams.

The only thing stopping us from Adams is his brother playing for MSU. Don't underestimate Dan threatening his brother in some way to make sure he delivers Adams. We have to be very careful with our recruitment of him.

That's why I will give Dan a major fail in recruiting if he doesn't land Adams.
Trying to compare Freeze and Mullen is a joke. Why do no recruits ever flip from OM to MSU?

I can't think of one.
That's why I laughed and told engie to start listing players when he said Freeze has lost more commits than Mullen has.
He, obviously, ignored that post.

The only guy I can think of is Robert Elliott. But that was ages ago.

Was he committed to us? Been too long and I don't remember.
What I do remember about Rock Dat Duece was Gene Swindoll was his family's adviser during the recruiting process.

He was committed to us, and then flipped on signing day. It wasn't a surprise though. I honestly can't blame him for not wanting to play for Orgeron.

In all seriousness, I would say recruiting styles. Freeze and the pevious staff does/did seem to always go for the higher profile players while Mullen tends to lean more towards higher character but less talented players. Not trying to flame here but other than CJJ, none of the players Ole Miss has flipped has done jack shite. You guys talk about flipping all this great talent from State, and your coaching staffs have flipped several, makes me wonder who the best talent evaluators are if none of them ever see the field. One would certainly think that if they are that good a superstar would be flipped at some point
Posted on 8/18/14 at 2:31 pm to tb27688

Only MSu fans believe you can't have talent and character and that every 5 star ran a 4.4 straight out of their mother's vagina.
You can't count what happened under a previous coaching staff that didn't have control over their team. If that were the case, we could blame Mullen for all of Croom's shortcomings. And you can't point to anyone that Freeze took because they're freshmen right now.

This has to be a fricking joke. This is idiotic. Threatening a current player? frick me, I didn't know how delusional you really are.

calm down, boy.
the same shite has been said about Denzel, Anthony Standifer, and others over the years from MSU fans.

According to this, you have a never ending timeline. That's why I included Nutts players to illustrate my point. Seriously, how many of these so called flips panned out.

good job taking someone else's quote and saying I said it. I mean....can I go ahead and pull a stupid quote, reply to you with that in a quote, and specifically say that you said it? Is that a thing now?

You're a flicking idiot if your trying to justify Linton as superior to Peter's. Get flicking real dumb arse. Your freaking coaches would even laugh in your face.
