Guys, maybe I am wrong, but I took it as he was maybe a little bit serious about the bump, but was mostly joking, and was paying homage to us because when Alabama was king that was what people said. Bama bump! It's a compliment, really, and as i said, I took it as a joke.

If there is a 3* guy that Uga or Bama want really badly, they probably should be moved up in the rankings. Especially if other top programs also want them.

Agreed. As has been discussed, top college football programs have more resrources and know more high school coaches than these recruiting sites.

Top teams like UGA, Bama, LSU, etc - when you see them jump and accept a commit from a 3-star in JUNE - with 6 months left on the recruiting calendar - that speaks for itself.

Can’t argue but on the record I think both these kids well outperform this ranking.

That’s barely a bump.

If the goal of a recruiting service is to assess all possible information to give their best possible rankings, why wouldn't a 3 star receive a bump if they commit this early to Georgia or Alabama?

At some point you'd say "DAMN! Nick Saban or Kirby Smart obviously think that this guy can play, and they know way more than I know."

See this is the real issue that people here aren't getting. Its not that a 3* DL Georgia or Bama offers, a 3* WR Ohio St offers, etc shouldn't get a bump in rankings.... the issue is that these rankings sites are acting like they are actually scouting these players.

So they watched them enough to make them a 3* at one point, then just because they get an offer they rise to a 4* in the middle of summer with no new film?

Y'all have a reason to be upset/irritated/whatever, its just not what you think it is.

And I don't expect them to watch tons of film on every guy, but I do expect them to not act like they do when they clearly don't. Or with Jamonta Waller for example, ON3 was hyping his commitment to Florida when they have him as a 3*
