" White Liberals think that they know what's best for Blacks" - Conservatives

Hypocritical White Conservatives then try to tell young Blacks & their families what's best for them.

What a weird political talking point. Your point also holds no water because no one is saying he can't do it, they simply don't think it is a good career move. I don't know that it is a conservative or liberal bent either way unless you are just making something out that isn't there. My guess is Nick Saban wanted Travis Hunter to come to Bama. So I guess he is a white conservative now too?

Not an HBC, but Cooper Kupp is damn near unstoppable and may as well have played in Poland.

LOL, certainly not. And you couldn't have picked anyone less HBCU than that.

I get your point though.

Has anyone mentioned Jimmy Smith? Imo the most underrated WR in NFL history. He went to Jackson state.

He barely coaches at JSU. He missed several games I believe. I wasn’t alive for his prime but I liked him up until the under all American game in like 2015(?) where he made a big theatrical run into the middle of the field to ask the professional referee if he was going to call a fair game and this and that with the camera in his face.

He won’t be a great coach IMO because he doesn’t care about anything but Deion

They can always transfer to a big school for their last year to up their draft stock if they're really that good. Do you really think Gibbs is transferring from GATech to Alabama for the education?

Yes, he is he wanted an Alabama degree to be on one of the best football programs in history. ;)

Actually, at a 4, Iron is pretty low on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness. Lots of things can sharpen it....

This is the problem. It isn't that you CAN'T have a great NFL career if you play at a small school, but you are making it harder on yourself if you do, and you're very possibly giving up a lot of money from your first contract. Is there any doubt that Jones or Romo would have been early-round draftees had they played in a major conference like the SEC or B1G?
nor sure how this could be downvoted.

NFL scouts and GMs will have every reason to be skeptical of your production due to level of competition. Simple fact

This is beyond Sanders / JSU . Alabama A&M is going toe to toe with JSU in the transfer portal. Even Grambling & SU are doing nicely , but A&M & JSU are having a P5 transfer arms race.
I hope this schools become juggernauts....and you can obviously make a NFL deal out if going there.

But fact is, to build a competitive level program a lot of these kids are just going to end up football mercenaries...win nothing

1975 NFL Draft :

# 4 overall- Payton(JSU)

# 6 pick- Brazile ( JSU)

# 8 pick - Big Hands Johnson ( Grambling)

#18 pick - Hollywood Henderson ( Langston).

Scouts go where the players are eventually. SEC fans should get over themselves/ institutions .

Maybe some of BLM's multibillion dollar haul is being used to funnel better athletes to historically black universities. It can't all go to buying that one woman multiple homes.
