re: HUUUUGE Weekend for recruiting in Ttown

Bama was after Lorenzo Carter pretty heavily and it was beginning to look like he was gonna stay in-state, so staff seriously turned up the heat on Da'Shawn Hand (they were after him heavily anyway but no one gave Bama a great shot everyone assumed he'd pick Michigan) after a HR OV and a plan for him to be a STUDENT athlete and get his engineering degree Bama landed him

LSU had a serious need at MLB and overall at LB on D this yr and only recruited a handful and lost Torshiro (sp?) Davis and he would've started for LSU this yr or at least had a heavy load of PT

Bama very heavily recruited Robert Nkemdiche al, yr last year even rumored to have an early lead until about Mid-Summer when his recruitment took a turn and it was clear he wasn't gonna even consider Bama that heavily, Bama staff started recruiting a kid from Texas who had been committed to Texas as a jumbo athlete Texas liked at OL, and Bama staff sold A'Shawn Robinson on playing on the DL and being a versatile jumbo DL and he was arguably the best TF DL in the SEC this year.

The recruiting class hasn't finished but I have yet to see LSU's plan at OT after losing out on Cameron Robinson, and doesn't seem like they are after any from what I've seen, you might be able to correct me on that, but IMO big ugly's are always something an SEC staff should recruit heavily along with RB's gotta sign a few in every class

torshiro davis is a d end and couldnt even see the field at texas...but even so, nobody was starting over welter at MLB this year for reasons unknown to me

we have several OT's on our board with the most likely being Kelly who has gained a lot of attention from big schools as a "late bloomer"

How did we lose ground on any of those? Do you know more than anyone else reporting on Bama recruiting?
