I can honestly say that if Auburn pulled in the #1 class, there is no amount of bama fail that I would be more excited about than what AU accomplished. Then again, I care more about Auburn than it's rival. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

We watched you do it for about 8 years straight and I don't recall any festive atmosphere from Auburn about anything other than our signing classes. While I understand how the "Christmas morning" thing would give many gumps bulletin board material, as if your bulletin board matters for shite regarding shite...but that's pretty subjective. Whether or not we close the class with Diggs...we'll probably finish top 10. Bama finished a clear #1 but that's never enough.
It's NEVER enough for you gumps. 9 National Championships? Not enough...we are going to exaggerate and say 14. Win the national championship? Not sweet unless I drag my balls across someone's face. #1 in the country? Not enough until everyone agrees that we could beat most NFL teams and had the best team in the history of organized sports. It's never good enough unless you stand atop the mountain and shite on someone else. Let's be clear...people don't hate you because you win, people hate you because as much as your team consists of winners, your fans consist of nothing but losers from top to bottom

I mean, losing a high profile player is one thing, but losing him to a school/program like Mizzou is about is bad as it gets.
Really, dude? I keep seeing statements like this. Compare the records for the last few years. Other than last year with Mizzou rebuilding and Arkansas playing a relatively soft schedule, you have to go back to 2006 to find a season in which the hogs have a better record than Mizzou. This is not the Missouri of the 1990s.

relatively soft schedule,
Really. We played both teams in the championship game. Played USCe who was a top 10 team. Played Auburn who wasn't awful they just weren't very good at anything. aTm was supposed to be good. Then we beat the #2 big 12 team pretty easily. only close for a little bit then we shut them down again and cruised to victory in the most conservative game i've ever seen petrino coach.

Pretty content. Not a huge number of people, but a lot of very good ones and not a lot of wasted scholarships on scrubs. Since we're getting close to 85 (finally!) that's important. We could have done better, but we filled the holes in the depth chart and I'm cool with that.
And, for the record Bama fans, I totally get why you care about our recruiting class. I'm bitter about yours.

oh I care about theirs and have enjoyed being ahead when we were...but I NEVER cared more about theirs than ours...not even close. Also, depending on who you ask, being a matter of perspective and subjective opinion, we finish top 10. I don't really get with Alabama finishing #2/#1 how they could be celebrating Auburn "falling flat on their face", instead of celebrating their VERY strong class. Then again, I never have understood Bama fans.

These are 18 year old kids who have yet to play a down in college ball. I don't care until I see some production.

Well done, sir. I'm sorry for your loss. Not really.
okla - You lost to the 2 really good teams. You had a pretty good home win against SC. Auburn? Have they ever had a more off season? You played A&M as well as Mizzou did, except we did it at their place. Your best win, and my greatest respect for the hogs came from a solid win against a solid K-State team. Not trying to trash on an 11 win season, but there were tougher schedules out there.

Agreed...kudos to Bama for the ruthless nature in which they do everything...if that's what it takes to get top classes every year, maybe Auburn ought to find them some leadership with no moral compass whatsoever. You would think, consistent success, fine track record of putting players in the NFL, rich history, etc...would be enough to sell to recruits sufficient to stock the cupboard...lying to recruits and pulling offers from committed recruits to replace with better players...I don't know if it will bite Bama or not, but the hypocrisy is mind boggling.
Oh...and about y'all being happier at Auburn's failure to sign a better class than you are at Bama's success....well first, that's just typical. Second...we have 1 5*, 11 4*'s and 8 3*'s..I don't think we get Diamond but have a very good shot at 5* badass Diggs..and did it without lying to recruits and burning bridges on a public stage. We'll rank somewhere between 12 and 7. While we are all a bit disappointed, I cannot for the life of me imagine why you teabagging cockknockers and doing backflips.

Oh I don't think we had the toughest by any means but to dismiss it as a soft schedule is ridiculous for instance here is where phil steele ranked both our schedules. This way you have a reference for how our schedule was:
(19) Missouri,
(20) Arkansas
