Yes but if we get him in this weekend and again for an official it will be equal. Even if we only get him for A&M its better than giving Bama the last 3 visits.

Also, Hootie has been to numerous LSU games this year. He knows the staff and campus well. It's apparent his mother wants to come and help him make his decision. I think that bodes well for LSU...

& I figured they'd try to reschedule his OV instead of it being for the Furman game

I know he visited a couple LSU games, but 1 was enough to sway him for Bama after a few other commits Bama landed started working on him. I think he & his Mom made the decision to give both schools a fair shot with an OV. That's my opinion also consider that announcement date was on a playoff game date so that also had a hand in it I believe

Equal as far as chances to impress up to the announcement. Most agree he is leaning Bama, which I don't dispute, but most also agree that he is no lock.

It was a Bama site that said they were rescheduling the announcement at his mom's request. He could have moved the date and not pushed it past the A&M game but they chose to do it that way.

I think he was leaning Bama prior to that visit, don't think it had much impact. All recruits have fun on visits.

I'm not disputing he seems to be leaning Bama's way but I don't think its so much that LSU cannot win him over. I also get the feeling that his mom is in LSUs corner which is welcome news.

OOooooooohhhhhh.....so his Mom won't give up what supposedly? trying to steer him to LSU? It works both ways bro...FWIW I also don't think his Mom would purposefully not let him choose the school he wants...I think they took a step back to give BOTH SCHOOLS A FAIR SHOT like I posted above.

my opinion is if Hootie picked today it would be UA, but he seems to want to make his mother happy and he wants to visit both schools. I know some LSU fans are convinced it is because she wants him to go to LSU but I do not believe that or seen anything to suggest that.

What I do know from different sites is the main reason for Hootie to visit for the Furman game because it was the only game before his Nov. 15th decision date to get her on campus. So with the change I could easily see him visiting for the aTm in BR now.

The only concern for me is if he comes to UA for the LSU game and she does not. Without her visiting that will tell all in my opinion of his decision.

Hootie has confirmed that his OV is for the A&M game, but he still plans to make it this weekend.

If I am not mistaken I believe his mom has been to Bama already. I know it wasn't for an official since he hasn't taken his official to Bama yet but I seem to remember his mom having been to Bama. Maybe I am wrong.
