I've changed my Crystal Ball for Gregory Little from Texas A&M to Alabama. I correctly predicted him to Texas A&M before his initial commitment but it is beginning to look more and more like a decommitment from Texas A&M is a real possibility. BamaOnline's Hank South posted this nugget on Alabama's growing confidence with Little and that supports what I've been hearing from other sources as well.

A third team (neither Alabama nor Texas A&M) has been getting indications that Little will not sign with Texas A&M and that program feels as though Alabama is in the best position to steal the five-star prospect. That info coupled with Hank's note has given me enough confidence to make the flip prediction.

Little is ranked as the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country according to 247Sports Composite and the No. 2 prospect overall.

BTW Barton's evaluation of players is laughable.

PS Barton Simmons said this not me

The Crystal ball predictions are moving quickly in Alabama's favor this evening. Something is going on for sure.

Alabama is going to get theirs no matter what. I'd rather them get theirs and not A&M and Alabama get theirs.

Hope he ends up at Alabama

That's actually a decent strategy. I've heard a story that Rick Neuheisel (when he was at UCLA) used to try to tell kids that he knew they weren't going to get to go to USC. The reasoning: USC is going to sign a terrific class full of elite players regardless. He'd rather them go to USC and sit on the bench than go to (fill-in-the-blank other Pac-10) school and create even more depth and parity within the conference.

Another benefit of that strategy- kid you know isn't coming to UCLA goes to USC, you have a better chance of signing guys who are truly on the fence.

He visited I think the 11th. He had a great visit and we are cautiously optimistic. We believe bama is the biggest threat but we are selling our depth chart hard to him and hoping to change his mind.

He visited a couple weeks back and it has heated up with us as well. I would put money on Bama signing him but don't think for a second it's over and that we are squarely in it. We're without a doubt the "third team" mentioned.

We told him exactly what you'd expect we'd tell him: "we signed the No. 1 LT in 2013, and started him as a freshman, sophomore and junior at LT and now he is going to be a top five pick. You can come in and do the exact same thing."

Apparently he has a lot of family in Memphis which never hurts.

Our 247 and Spirit guys, both homers for what it's worth, have said they are cautiously optimistic. We won't sign both Allen and Little, but I'd bet we sign one of them.

About a week ago, After his OM and Bama visits he said they were pretty good, about the same, and he was "definitely still committed to A&M".

I'm not saying he it won't happen, it definitely could, but I don't think we're running 3rd as is being suggested.

Yeah I probably phrased that wrong. He's still committed to A&M so they should still be considered the leader, but Alabama and Ole Miss aren't out of it.

Especially when you consider no one else can offer what A&M can in recruiting firepower for OT prospects. "Hey, want to be a first rounder? All of our left tackles go first round."

Edit: He's going to be an Aggie, not going into the details but he's not leaving the state.
How confident am I? 100% just watch how this plays out, there's too many people around him to let him go to Bama.
